Location Lighting 101 with Lindsay Adler

Comprehensive, well thought out and organized. I have heard the basics before, but not to this depth. Lindsay definitely knows her stuff! And there was enough reinforcement without overdone repetition to drill in the material. I feel much more confident with the topic and feel like I could handle some problem-solving on location. Now I just need to get out there and practice!

Very detailed course. Lindsay was able to articulate natural light extremely well which we should learn before we using Strobe's in my opinion. Learning how to manipulate natural light is key. The video on strobes is awesome as well. Some are natural light photographers because they don't know how and when to use strobes. This is a master course for all to view. Great job!

The host needs to stop interrupting Lindsay. SMH. It's like he's guiding Lindsay on what to teach. LET HER DO HER THING!

Sheesh, don't miss Lesson #21. All of this class was great, but that lesson was amazing (Av vs Tv vs ISO vs Flash Power's effects on the final image - what to tinker with to change the light on your subject or background).

Usually don't review anything, but this was definitely one of the best photography classes I have taken. Don't hesitate to get it!

Lindsey is one of the best photography instructors today, period. This course is well prepared, and presented in an orderly progression, with each section clearly explained. Frequent location videos are included, in which each step of Lindsey's thought process is explained. It's evident that Lindsey truly "knows photography." She's a storehouse of information, yet she never overcomplicates things. There's no time-wasting rambling, only tons of excellent information. Have a pen and notebook. There's a lot here, including hundreds of tidbits along the way. Thanks for the great job, Lindsey. Worth every penny!

Amazing class! Very informative ... I've learned so much about lighting and exposure both on the technical, practical side and the artistic side. Very well presented and so easy to understand even for absolutely fresh beginners. Enjoyed every minute of this course and definitely recommend it to everyone who's wishing to take his photography skills to the next level, while very much enjoying along the way. Must have for anyone who is serious about their photography. Lindsay is an amazing teacher and knows how to get her point across fast and easy. I learned so many tricks and often rewatch some of the chapters before I go on locations.

I'm just getting into outdoor portrait photography and i bought a speedlight not really knowing how to use it effectively. Watching Lindsay really helped me learn what to do and how to use light to my advantage. She covers all the lighting possibilities and situations. She emphasizes that you don't need to spend insane amounts of money to light your subject beautifully.

Lindsay is an excellent teacher and has a wonderful body of work. She passes on so much information, so many hints and practical advice that you need to re-watch and re-watch the course again. You need months if not even years to try and put everything into practice. She pinpoints many things which one might already be aware of unconsciously but actually she helps to conceptualise them so that you can use these tools intentionally.
