Course is good, but the sound quality was very poor. Had my PC on full volume and it was still difficult to hear.

Loved the invaluable lessons! I can't wait to go through them all again. They are jam packed with valuable and tactical information that creatives on every level can take from. Her energy and personal style creates a great experience! I can only imagine how cool it would be to take a class from her in person! She is such a treat and so inspiring! I LOVE how enthusiastic Bambi is about the questions she receives and encourages phototgraphers to continue to grow, learn, and think out of the box. Thank you creative live! Normally I don't comment on courses I haven't purchased, but I think Bambi is getting some unfair treatment. I watched both free videos to assess if I wanted to purchase this class. IMHO Bambi knows the subject matter extremely well, and there's no doubt a lot can be learned from her. If her teaching style and delivery in the rest of the videos are like the first two, I think that's what creates the love/hate reviews. She thinks and talks fast, tends to stray from the subject, and occasionally calls students cutesy names. If things like that bother you then I don't recommend this class. If you are willing to overlook her somewhat frenetic delivery and want to learn a whole lot about portrait photography then I don't think you'll be disappointed.

So it is only now that I see what I've been doing wrong. Bambi has a wealth of knowledge and this series has greatly benefited my posing game as it was terrible...Im glad I invested in this.

If you can get past her seeming inability to stay on track and her obnoxious, insincere demeanor, rudely referring to people as Scooter pie, Scooter, Pumpkin, Baby, Honey, Daddy-O, etc, because they obviously aren't important enough to actually be bothered to learn their names, you can learn a great deal. I was very tempted to turn the volume down and just watch for golden nuggets. I did learn much, though, and I'm glad I had the opportunity (thanks, CL).

I buy lots of courses and loved this one. Ill start buying more of Bambi's teachings.

I believe that the evaluation of this course is understated. Bambi knows her profession from the inside out, has knowledge and knows how to convey it. A lot of valuable information - a special emphasis on how to photograph people in the most advantageous poses. Priceless information on how to set up a large Bride. Dont belive in thumbs down - this course is full of knowledge.

I’ll be honest. Ms Cantrell moves very fast, but her experience, humor and confidence are infectious. I thought I would check out a lesson or two and ended up watching and listening to her entire program. She is clear about her process and why it works so well. Her portraits are beautiful, whether individual or group situations. I thoroughly enjoyed the presentations, and I am a landscape and pet photographer. But I feel like I learned a lot about seeing, and was reminded of approaches to running your own creative business that are valuable for anyone. I have been very impressed by the professional instructors in every one of the CreativeLive courses I’ve watched or bought. It’s not every professional who can teach! I know. I am one who could not handle classroom situations. So happy I was able to join in on these classes. Thank you, Bambi, for all of your energy, and for sharing your knowledge with all of us. This was quite a ride!

I am exhausted trying to keep up with Bambi. So much information - so well presented!!

Class was great. I certainly didn't find her offensive or rude in any way as mentioned in some of the reviews. I actually found myself laughing out loud, keeping me very interested. Obviously, she is very knowledgeable and offered some very practical tips. I, like Bambi, am 5'1" and loved her tips for taking photos at a height disadvantage. I have always carried around a stool, but now I have a ladder similar to the one she was using during the class. I also found it helpful and refreshing when she allowed us to see her mistakes. Isn't that the way we learn? I learned a lot by watching the class and had a great time with her sense of humor! Kudos to her for asking "Uncle John" his opinion several times. I have seen him on so many Creative Live classes, that I know he has absorbed a lot of knowledge just by observing and assisting photographers. Bambi is on my list to look for in the future.

OMG! I just love Bambi. She is amazing. She is lively and funny and so full of useful information. I cannot stop watching her classes. I have learned more from Bambi than any other photographer. I was fortunate to get this course at a ridiculously low price but she is worth the full price of the class. I will follow her and take any class she teaches. I would love to go to a workshop and meet her in person--one day. Don't wait--this class is the bomb!!

Similar to the previous reviewer I was hesitant on buying this course due to negative reviews, but I'm glad I did. This is an excellent course with a wealth of useful information. I enjoyed Bambi's energy and how effectively she explains. Definitely recommended!

I almost didn't bought this course due to low rating and what other reviewers were saying about her, but because it was on sale at incredibly low price that i decided to bite the bullet. And I am so glad I did. First of, for those reviewer that find her offensive, because she talks loud or make some jokes to her models or her audience, i don't think that it is offensive at all and neither did her audience or everyone in the studio. As a matter of fact, they were enjoying it. And I did too, was laughing while watching them laugh and having a good time. There was nothing wrong with the audio. I heard her just fine. I found her class to be the best class ever because she only not answers questions by theory, she demonstrate them live with the participation of her audience and the creative live crew and that's what made her class very interesting and not boring. She also uses real people and not models with perfect sizes or figures and it really helped me a lot because i have a challenge when it comes to posing plus sized people. I love her sense of bluntness, humor and at the same time, all the wonderful nuggets of wisdom she shared to her audience. I had purchased tons of creative class about photography and to tell you honestly, i haven even watched the full content on some of these classes because i get sleepy and bored but with Bambi's class, i watched her class in just 2 days without even feeling bored. I don't write reviews and in fact this is my first time to write a review here on creative live because i just feel the need to say that it's very unfair for her to be criticized liked that. I love you Bambi, I love your personality, I love your style and the information you taught were very invaluable. Thank you.

I purchased this course because I had heard of Bambi Cantrell from people in the industry. I was told she know here craft and was a great teacher.... I agree, she obviously she knows her stuff..... I like her no nonsense approach and realistic style. If I am going to learn photography I want to learn the business as well. Very exciting instructor and very knowledgeable Photographer. I read some reviews from snowflakes that seem put off by her style …. Grow up!!!! The real world wont hold your hand. If you want to learn and be in business this is a great course!

I read the reviews before purchasing, and I can't agree with any of the negatives...this Photographer knows her stuff and she says pretty much exactly what she means. Those who put her down for the sound issues or her brassy statements are insecure with themselves and probably a little bit jealous or envious, I think. I'm enjoying the hell out of this workshop, she inspires me and lots of things she's said have validated my own thoughts and experiences. Sorry to put anyone down, but they kinda deserve it for their small-mindedness. So I'll take back the apology. Well worth the money! She covers A LOT!!! And she knows what's she's doing before she does it. My kind of person!

I'm surprised by the content of some of the reviews here. Anyone who gets hung up on a presenter's personality should get over it, what counts is the content of the course. I bought this course and it's really good. Lots of useful advice delivered in a practical down to earth way. I'm very pleased to have it.

I bought this course at a ridiculously low price (because the audio quality was off and I had read some other comments about her apparent 'rudeness' and not being able to get through the course). Frankly, I learned a great deal about posing full-figured clients, light quality (what works best with which skin tone) and who benefits from short-light vs broad-light. Using the camera operators to illustrate her point about where you shoot from (high vs level/low) is priceless to those of us who learn better with visual examples...I honestly can't complain. Bambi, I think you did a great job and you're personality doesn't bother me one bit!
