Adobe Lightroom

This is what I wanted to learn about Lightroom.

I am a full-time web designer so I love all of her reasons for having a website. I do nature and travel photography as my side business.

Excellent workshop. Very articulate and specific as to how and why to use a specific tool. Matt communicates very well with very clear explanations. I highly recommend this workshop for intermediate and advanced users who use LightRoom..

Great class to help you establish and understand workflow in Lightroom Classic. I also loved the presets that accompanied the class.

Great to see the many examples, I learned a lot. But just a warning: be careful about too much 'fixing' of natural effects like our honorable teacher (oh this seems not belonging here, oh this color should be changed, oh there is magenta in the sky (there always is!!) etc etc etc) because all fixes one by one may seem logical, the end result may be something quite unrealistic, 'plastic'. So do not overdo it.

Jared really does have a fantastic style. His pace and articulation are perfect for following along and the detailed editing of the videos, themselves, makes it really easy to absorb. Well worth the clams, for sure.

JP knows a lot and can explain very well! I took another course, called Editing and Organizing your Photography in Lightroom Classic. That was very nice. But now, maybe he filmed all courses one after another, but he is less sharp, with so many repetitions... the idea of these online courses is, that you can look back whatever and whenever you want. But having to listen to all repetitions for me it was quite exhausting, sorry about that!

Wonderful. I am a (very curious) amateur photographer and for me this was all really interesting. Clearly spoken, nice examples, very educational indeed. Some doubts about making (too?) many changes in photos with generative AI, changing color, etc.: where does editing of a real word picture change into painting and creating something non-existent? And in some lessons the transcript (and subtitles) are missing. For people not having english as their mother language they are sometimes quite helpful. All in all: very recommended!

Really good topics/discussions in this class. The value of selecting the right images to show/edit is very undervalued. Less is often more.

USEFULL INFO FOR BEGGINERS AND INTERMEDIATE

It is just amazing course created by Daniel and Creativelive! Really helpful and informative. My workflow has changed in editing and printing. I would 100% be recommending that course to other people! Thank you!

Really good class!! A lot of classes I've taken thus far have gone too fast or had an instructor that just tells you everything without you being able to actually follow along with your hands on the software. I learn best by doing... not just listening. With this class, it was easy for me to split the screen and do everything the instructor did - and really learn in the process. I will definitely watch for more classes from Jared Platt!

Very comprehensive. Recommend it. But I honestly have to admit the longer I am in this one it becomes chaotic and too wordy. I had moments I wanted to quit this one because once it's halfway I miss some structure.

This course is Apple centric. If you're an Android owner, be aware that the arrangement of Preferences and some other settings are different and you'll need to explore the menus (lines & dots) on your device to find the equivalents.

Great class. So informative with just the right amount of practical examples combined with clear theory. He speaks clearly, confidentially and calmly so it was easy to follow him. I watched the whole 8 hours straight through

Just finished watching the entire course. This is filled with a lot of information and Jared takes his time, and goes into detail for you to understand the process of turning great pictures into fantastic pictures. I look forward to watching the other courses in this series.

Good course but is more for beginners. My comment is that there are some aspects that needs to be treated more openly and with more details, and not set an unique view of how to set your workflow. An example is the DNG conversion, this is a debatable topic that requires more discussion. Also, I think you benefit of doing the culling process outside of LR using other tools like Bridge or PhotoMechanics because is faster and you can do a lot of manipulation before hitting the catalog. WOW mind blowing how AI is going to speed up our volume event photography workflow. We photograph indoor sports often high ISO and mixed poor lighting. Been able to apply an AI preset to clean up pixelated skin (ISO5000!) to look decent is a time saver. Add to this ability to use Lens blur to pop the athlete from uninspiring sports hall backdrops is welcomed. All we want next is AI cropping across 10,000 images with one preset (theres a challenge for you Jared)!

I thought I was pretty up to date on the new AI features, but I learned quite a bit and also got some nice refresher and new tips on what I already knew. Great class.

This is excellent. Great teacher and SO much infomation so just had to buy it!

After giving up on Adobe long time ago (for apparent reasons). I decided to go back with my recent coming back to photography. I’ve been a heavy Photoshop user but never Lightroom’s. Since I signed up I was straggling to decide between the “new” Lightroom and Lightroom Classic. It was obvious LRC is more versatile but I loved the modern, cleaner look of the Lr. At the end I am a visual person :). Jared’s workshop made my decision easier and cleared up the question I asked Google repeatedly about managing Adobe cloud storage. A very comprehensive, easy to understand and fun course. Can’t wait to rearrange my 20+ years photo library. Thank you, Jared!
