doing this now more than ever in the covid era, placing a take out order on a restaurant's website or buying something online. They might have previously gone into a brick and mortar store for. So what does that mean for your business? Your website, maybe your new front door, the first interaction of potential customer has with your business. Consumers think buying online and picking up in store or curbside will be a beneficial way for them to shop even when there are no restrictions today, we'll discuss different ways you can connect with customers online, especially those looking for businesses just like yours. Let's start by watching a short video that explores some of the ways customers connected with local businesses in the past year and what they might be looking for as we move forward this past year had many challenges. People have learned new things like how to make any situation work, how to keep going through tough times and how to stay in touch while far away now the small businesses they love are ready to welcome them back. It's time to find great places to gather and celebrate Mrs smith. All right to refresh and renew. See each other in person again. Yeah. And explore new connections. Coffee shops near me. Now that your doors are reopening. How are you? This is the part that you tried to cut people are looking for places in their neighborhoods and communities where they can enjoy special moments together again, they're hoping to discover new favorite spots so they can create new memories with people they love. All right, how are you? Yeah, nice to see you. So when they're searching for you and you and you be there with a little help from google. Yeah. Mhm. Did that video capture any of your experiences the past year? I could relate to the haircut story to I two attempted a quarantine haircut, found myself turning to my phone and google to find the best haircut tutorial videos and to find haircutting shears at the closest store. Luckily my amateur haircut didn't turn out too bad. But as soon as I could, I was searching for Covid Safe Salon near Meat. Now think about your potential customers, what are they looking for and how are they searching to find the answer? Keeping this in mind, I challenge every person watching to examine and possibly reframe their approach to presenting their business online rather than focusing on what you want people to know about your products and services. Think about what they need, what they want to know and where they go or what they turn to to find this information by doing that. You can use google search as an opportunity to build relationships with your customers and people looking for businesses like yours. Here's the agenda for today's session. I'll start by showing you how google search works and three ways your information can appear on a search results page first with searching and optimization, then a business profile and lastly, through online advertising.
