  • These classes are great! The blog is great also!

  • John has taken the time out to not just go through what every option does, but how well they work and how they apply to the real world. I did his (excellent) Fundamentals of Photography course but this dovetailed into that and gave me a lot more. Highly recommended!

  • Great course, John Greengo is my favorite presenter I like all his courses. Thank you so much

  • Thank you I am very good at photography, but this class has helped me with shooting with manual mode.

  • Great starter class with just the right amount of information to pique your interest to learn more about each topic. Highly recommend for the beginner to start here!

  • This course has been so useful! John is a great instructor. I now feel confident to get out there and shoot. I have the E-M1 Mark III and found that there’s not a great deal different between it and the MarkII, thank goodness! I highly recommend John’s classes

  • Terrific course. I've had the Sony a6000 for 3 years now, but never really knew about all the settings and what should be "default." I learned so much.

  • Very thorough and easy to follow! I have a Leica Monochrom M246, and this helped tremendously. I've taken other classes from John Greengo, and have always learned so much from him. Highly recommend!

  • Excellent - should be required viewing for all new XPro2 users! Given how popular this model is now that Fuji might be stopping making the XPro range, this video will serve for years to come. Quite a few changes with the current 5.10 Firmware but 99% covered here, still might be cool to get a few extra videos added to cover the updates.

  • call a really good class. I just bought a Leica M Typ-240 and it is my first time ever using a Leica. I have learned a great deal about how to use the camera. I do want to note an error though. In the Back Side Controls lesson at 21:52 he states to scroll through images in the magnified mode to press the menu button and the trackpad. On the M240 it is the Play button and the trackpad. I found it by trial and error after trying the menu button as instructed.

  • This was a great class! Khara explained things that were easy to understand which helped me to connect the dots. I feel much more confident in my abilities after taking this course.

  • This course was fantastic and helpful. I know I can go back and refer to it at any time if I get stuck navigating the menu. John speaks clearly and gets right to the point. I just posted the link on the D850 page for those who are new to this fabulous camera

  • Great overview of the Z7 & 6. Hopefully creative live can do an addendum for the Z7ll & 6II on the small differences.

  • Yes, it's 2024 and this camera is an oldie but a goodie - I still have it along with my 5D mk IV - and I still come back to this class from time to time - So if you have purchased a 7D and are unsure of it - This is your class

  • This is a wonderful "right size" course for anyone interested in that initial deeper delve into the technical and aesthetic aspects of photography. It's easy to follow along and you'll find yourself immediately integrating class learnings into your craft. Thanks, John Greengo, for your learner-friendly sharing of knowledge.

  • Extremely detailed course. I loved it. Grab your camera and play with it all along the video, it will help to immerse in the setting of it. Really happy to have done it. Thanks a lot!

  • Please please consider adding the Mark III. I found this class very useful, but features and buttons are different on the Mark III.

  • Very worthwhile. Well worth the time and money spent. I've had this camera for about 4 years and while I understand the basics of photography having learned on manual film cameras cameras many years ago, I could never find the settings or features I needed when I needed them. Also, John is a very gifted and engaging teacher and I enjoyed the several hours I've spent with him over the last few days. Thanks, John!

  • Just finished this class and will definitely be watching it again. There is so much good information. Very easy to understand & follow. Highly recommend.

  • Informative class - regardless if you are new to Nikon or a previous Nikon shooter. Really breaks down the menu options and provides some general guidance for those just starting out and some suggestions on how to improve for those who have been shooting for a while. Highly recommended!

  • Loved every moment of it! And the Poem at the end brought tears to my eyes. You described "the Moment" which photographers capture to a tee... So inspiting. I highly recommend it!

  • Terrific Course! John makes photography much easier to understand for a beginner, highly recommend!!

  • An excellent class, which has encouraged me to pick up and use my X-T20 again!

  • An excellent, well structured an informative class in which I learned a lot. It's now time to come off Program Mode! Many thanks John.

  • Very helpful. Covered all aspects of types of lenses and what they do and even what they don't do. Would highly recommend this class to beginners but helpful for someone ready to go the next step as well.
