I really had fun doing the actives with the clads. I learned several ways to take notes visually. She had a clear curriculum of topics she wanted to teach and conveyed her knowledge with power point presentation along with live examples. Very good!!

Fantastic course. Inspired me to think about note taking

Great class! The instructor was engaging and accessible. This was a bit of a crash course, which is understandable given that most of the work involved in being good at sketchnotes is independent practice. Giselle provided a thorough overview of the foundations and offered suggestions for preparation, practice and continued professional development.

I'm not a visual notetaking professional, but I am an educator. I plan to use multiple elements of what I have learned in this course to bring better visual elements to my oral presentations (i.e., using whiteboards and Livescribe pens) for lectures and other real time and recorded presentations (online learning).

Wonderful overview of sketch noting with tons of opportunities to practice, learn, and refine skills! Appreciated the side benefits of recognizing sketchnoting involves active listening and the opportunity to practice that too. Thank you! 110% recommend this course.

Giselle is great! I learned so much and am excited to use these skills–even if its just for personal use. Giselle gives a lot of tips that I wouldn't have considered otherwise. 10/10 would recommend!

Very informative and relevant to my profession as an Architect. I can apply these skills internally with my team to brainstorm project information as well as engage clients in a discussion to "draw" out information to discover their story and goals. I look forward to applying these skills to my professional practice! THANKS.

Giselle is a wonderful teacher: engaging, articulate and generous, and manages to explain the fundamentals of sketchnoting in a very thorough way. The class is well structured, and there are plenty of opportunities to practice listening (a key component of any note taking). Not being in the classroom we don't get feedback of course but the way Giselle engages with the students who attended the recording enabled me to get some indirect feedback on my own work.

I listened to the free version and was very impressed. Gabrielle has excellent speaking sills, although she does say "ok" a lot. She's highly organized and articulate, very easy to listen to. I've been in meetings with a visual note taker. Gabrielle explained the process clearly and I'm looking forward to applying this in note taking. It's harder than it looks! You really have to think on your feet.

I enjoyed the class and have already begun using her techniques when taking notes on work conference calls - turns out it makes them a little more tolerable.

  • Amy C. Sep 11, 2015

Really enjoyed the class! Giselle was very clear in delivering the content, giving steps for getting into sketchnoting. There were many practical tips when doing visual notetaking as a job. The course made sketchnoting much more apporachable.
