This class was MEANT TO BE PARTICPANT LED - that was obvious to me from the outset, everyone there had different products that they wanted to showcase somewhere, and were asking a very experienced lady Kristen Rask a massive variety of questions, that were not fully thought out prior to the event! So it could not have been a 1 size fits all experience for anyone. SO NO it was not a COURSE ! In fact a lot of the questions asked were complete raw newbie to any business type of questions. She answered everyone as best she could based on her experiences without making them feel uncomfortable as newbies. As for the lady complaining about the sound/buffering it was her own internet causing that issue - nothing to do with Creative Live, once again a raw newbie. Sorry but I would rate Kristen Rask's performance here as an advisor as very helpful to those who participated in asking questions, bearing in mind those questions were specific to the individual participants and the responses can only be as good on the fly as the questions that were asked. The only improvement that could happen in this case is for people to fill in a questionnaire few days prior to the Q & A session for Kristen to address when it was aired live. My rating for Kristen was 90% as it stands, but had this been planned thoughtfully by the Creative Live team in advance as a Q & A, then it would be 100%. I don't feel this has been very fair to Kristen, her knowledge and skills obviously far exceeds the opportunity she was given.., and the participants had the wrong type of expectation from Kristen, and most were not prepared at all, so the questions while being specific to their business idea, had not been prepared or fully fleshed out.
Tara Gentile, I have taken a few of her courses over several years, she is an amazing talented individual but equally adept at analysing the steps toward making the relationship between you and your hero customers, the ones who are excited by your next offering, and who will share that purchase online and promote you in every and any way. The customers that we all need a posse of, so guys set about identifying and nurturing those kind of guys in your business. Great advice as always Tara.
Wonderful classes!
I loved this course! I've been creating digital products for a few years now. This was a great refresher and reminder that all products are worth revising and revisiting! April is so positive and engaging. She makes everything super simple. Loved this class! Because I watched this, I was inspired to create my Patreon channel. This has been a goal of mine for years! It's a little more work on the front end, but I'm hoping that it will pick up over time and create a consistent source of income.
I haven't bought the class yet, this comment is regarding the preview of the class. I checked in and the sample does not say anything about the class...
One of the best course I've had on Creative Live. I am a beginner but Kari changed my thinking about my handmade business. I am so exited to make changes and try a different approach. Thank you Kari!
Excellent presentation. Tons of very useful info. Will put this into practice right away.
Very helpful course on how to connect on social media and I learned - a lot - on where I have to improve in my content creation. Even if the course has been some years ago, everything still applies to today. She delivers the message really well and it's easy to follow along. Very informative and rewarding course.
if I pay $ 5 for the material and try to sell it for $30 and suggesting that I can do it....no thanks...we need to give some credit to the customers...they are not the clueless about things that purchases...I will pay $1000 for a photography but never to a neckless made out off a raffia bcs it is sold in a high end store...
Excellent class. There was so much information I watched twice to review some of the info. The presenter is very relatable and provides practical information that can be used for all levels of entrepreneurs.
I listened to this with an open mind and I'm totalllllly green to it all. I truly felt as though this was not for the "newbie" I personally needed something that brought me from a-z. Sorry, I thought the speaker was interesting but I prefer a step 1,2,3...... to get a newbie started
My initial thought when starting the Copywriting for Crafters class was not what I was expecting when learning about copywriting (legally protecting my intellectual property), Nonetheless, Lisa was amazingly detailed in explaining what and how I should be writing my product descriptions to form an connection with my customers and generate that sale. Exceptional class.
Amazing information if you want to learn the in's and out's of how to wholesale your products!
April's demeanor and enthusiasm is infectious throughout. I appreciate her candid responses, her passion that shows through, and just the open-hearted approach she embodies when encouraging and cheerleading her audience participants. WAY more than I expected to receive, this is my first time learning and exploring CreativeLive courses. I can't believe it took me this long to connect in this way. I absolutely agree with others' sentiments- this course is crammed full of valuable, step-by-step guidance to get yourself motivated and moving in the direction of launching an idea, a landing page, or a combination of things that support digital product revenue.
Whoever is editing the audio is cutting it out completely when there's a break in speech. It happens over and over all throughout the class and that is very distracting and unpleasant. Especially for a sound engineer :) Makes it so stressful to keep watching. I've noticed it in several videos. Please stop doing that. It's super annoying :D
The instructor was very knowledgeable and motivated, and it was a good intro course to creating a blog, but I thought it fell short in a few ways. Everything about the course, the teacher, students, examples of blogs, subjects and photos, etc., was oriented to women. The course description didn't mention this and I felt out of place and lost interest after while. The course was mostly talking and included too little showing of actual websites, photos, or screenshots of processes of using WordPress, etc. Last, of the photos and blog pictures actually used, most were of and by the teacher, making this feel like a promotion for her business as much as a paid class.
Absolutely loved this timeless course. Even though it looks like it was produced in 2016, the information is just as current and relevant today as it was back them. Megan is a great instructor ... easy to listen to; cuts straight to the important points; and breaks down the processes into bite size tasks so they don’t seem so overwhelming. Thank you Megan for motivating me to do what I’ve been putting off for the last 4 months. Sandy
Thank you for an excellent class on a key pivot point no matter what industry you are in. One stellar quality of this course is how collaborative, friend focused peer culture and (rather than hostile competition or dysfunction competition environment and psychological atmosphere). The structure suggestions enable creativity and acknowledges different mindsets required in different phases. Susie honors the joy that comes from making and creating. She celebrates the interdependence between all stakeholders and the fun and flow as well as learnings and choices from being a 'business'. She is pragmatic but high on the inclusiveness of fun and satisfaction. She is interested and interesting: safe, enjoys being a customer as much as teacher and expressions of creative generation for herself. You can be caught up in the delight of her view of the world if you have become jaded or burnout. This brings perspective and empowerment to your desire and goals.
I think this is a very useful course, especially the section on how to sell your products by revamping your website with opt ins, blogs, marketing and call to action and restructuring sections with bullet points of why your products solve the clients needs. The idea of figuring out your ideal client's needs and thus how to sell to them is golden. Highly recommend this course as the instructor covers all things to consider.
When I first realized that I wanted to walk the path of an entrepreneur, starting a business seemed like it would be an impossible venture. But Jennifer Lee's method helped me work through each piece of the process in a way that felt fun and exciting. That being said... when I bought the book, I had no idea what kind of business I would ultimately build, so I didn't get through it all. When I bought this course, I had the same issue at first. But roughly every 6-10 months, I returned to them both to revisit my vision and add new pieces that would ultimately land me where I am today. As I'm writing this review, I am in the process of filming the first round of content that will be offered on my digital fitness studio site. For the first time ever, I made it to the end of this course! I already had a plan in mind. But this helped me get it all down on paper and it even prompted me to do more research into my "competition/creative cohorts" to see what the possibilities for my business are down the line. I'm more excited than ever to dive in and soft launch my site this fall, so that come 2021, it will be optimized to give community members the kind of fitness programs they need. Thank you so much Jennifer! <3
solid advice
Thank you for the time and effort it took to make this class available. Usually panel discussions do not offer alot of value ...but that was not the case. The moderator did a great job with questions that had substance and value.
I LOVED this course, would reccomend to anyone who wants to learn about digital products and how/where to sell them. Thank you April :)
Great course, especially the interview with Stacey (part 6).
