Do you want to do your standing one now? OK, That would be adorable. Okay, Awesome. And then let's do one of the front of you. Can you come out a little bit from the wall? And what if you can you let go with like that with your foot so that your heels kind of and then just perfect. Good job. So good. Okay, One more pose and you pick it. What do you think? Actually, that's kind of cute just doing this. Don't do that. That's very cute. Beautiful. Good job. That was a great one. It wasn't even on purpose. Can we get Greece line over here, honey? Hey, darlin. What you do in? What did you find? Can I see the look familiar? Can I see these Really, Really quick. I see this guy may see him. Wait a second. I don't know. Let me ask. Good job. So super easy to call out. I'll do. Is he telling you? What did he say? I do stickers on the Florence up to toe, like mark their spots. Like, Okay, as your sticker, you have to hide it from you. Don't let me see it so they can like they're not moving. Um, could we try and get baby really quick by herself? You want to go over and have it talk to Daddy? Can you take the monster over to Daddy and he can tell Daddy a story? So if you could be on this side of her just cause of the shadow highlighting what you doing? Cool. And I'm not super worried about this. Um, because I could either crop it or it's such an easy background to clone. Um, What you doing, baby? You data? What are they doing? Death. Yeah, Yeah, yeah. Are you going to come get me? And then you're just gonna point your feet out that way, honey, bend your knees like this thing. Yeah, I want to. Still the filmic girls in with the What if the baby, like, sat on you, like leg on your side, facing each other? Does that make sense? Okay. Greasing listed by your sister's honey. Good job. Oh, you wanted that hair. Didn't Yeah. You want Take a picture with your sisters can hold their hands. I'm gonna get You know what happens? What happens? You take my hands. Are you guys gonna jump? Can you come out just a little bit? Actually, let's put Let's put her in the middle because we already had that other posts. Are you guys ready? Are you really ready? On your mark. Get set. Go a little off kilter. There are. Do you want Try again? Try again. Who is that? Have you seen that already? Who is that? Yeah. Did you say you know what? You jumped first and they didn't jump. No way, Jose. No way. No way. Does everybody want to sit on the floor? Could we make Mommy and Daddy sit on the floor? She doesn't. Okay, Go watch this here. No, maybe it won't stay. Oh, look, who's my camera now? What happens? Oh, you taught him to jump way. You can't be. I actually have you come over on this side and you're gonna sit. You know, when you sit with your feet out, decide and then let's go and have you your the next two down, you're gonna lead on his leg for me, honey? Yeah. Came here to be a good mom, okay? And she could just like me. Can I get you to sit crisscross applesauce with your back to your sister. Oh, honey, with Hi. Hi, honey. Mama. Yeah. Good job. High fighting. Oh, Where'd you go? Give me a little bit of a smiles. Good job. You're in your zone Over there. Weren't you bullets ripped off? Oh, no, no, no. I'm Why don't we do? If we get we could give her a little break. Let's give her a little break. Do you guys want any, like, individual with the kids yourself? Yeah. Just tell me kind of the breakdown you want of. Okay. We could dio dad with the girls on Mom with the girls. Yeah, OK, so, actually, if you want to stay right there will make the girls around you. You were so happy for one second. Harold, you know, it's OK. We'll do something with the girls, will let her take a break. Ugo. Okay. Do we have any questions? Are any other things people want to see? Um, let's I can prompt chats. I do have a few for sure. A few questions. Have you ever had to deal with a reshoot so ever had a situation where? For some reason, it was the family. They wasn't working and you had to do a reshoot have anything like that ever I have it very luckily and night. Um, usually, we can at least get a few minutes. Like if things areas like, say, she started the shoot being I mean, the baby has been amazing this whole time that say she started, she came in that way. Normally, what I would just have them do is like I said, I would just be like, 20 minutes go like feeder snacks and then bring it in. And usually you can at least get, like, five minute little increments. Um, that will make it so It's OK, you have enough of a shoot that it doesn't have to be reshot. It's just patients, I think. And that's why I was saying, like, I don't schedule back to back, because if there's already tension in those kind of things, I don't want my own tension of. Come on, guys, we gotta wrap it up. You guys only have 1/2 hour. We gotta make this work. So I tried A If I'm calm and like oh, we have all the time in the world, then I feel like it translates well, kids and family and cool And are the folks out here in the Internet really love it when you talk through what you're thinking as you do the photographs. Oh, okay. We're loving that. Thank you. Okay. All right. Are you girls ready? You got dad's lap like you You come over here on this side of Daddy so you can be really close to Daddy. Came here. Sweet. Her all. You want to sit by Brooklyn? No. Oh, so, uh, I just want to get some pictures with Dad with his girls and then mom with her girl. Um, Kim, your sweetheart. Watch this. Come here, baby. You can have you come right here. Right here. True. True. True. True. True. True to stand up for me, honey, I might have you hug Daddy K. You're gonna give Daddy Hooks here right here, baby. Right there, just like this. And watch this going. Take your picture. Are you ready? Yeah. Um what's shift her? Just this way. A little bit. Don't have so many heads on that side of your perfect ready, kid. Daddy. Big hugs. Get to 10 big hunks. Oh, where'd you go? Hi. Job. Good jobs. We hurt. Oh, are you tired. Are you ready for a nap? Already taking that? Are you really? Nobody ever says yes to that. Let's go do it. Let's go take a nap. No. So that would be silly. We're having her picture day again. Perfect. Okay. Big smiles. She sunk down. Just so it's cute and have her down like that, but just a little bit up. Yeah. There we go. Perfect. Perfect. Do we want to see if we can, um, get the baby in on one? Do you think she would? Oh, she's so she left the room. OK, uh, let's go ahead and get some of the girls. We'll do a couple more little playful ones until she do. You want your twice back, sweetie? Like going Okay. Where you going? Here. Let me see it for a second. Let's take the sticker up So it looks like this. Can your sister borrow it for one minute? Go. Okay. Are you ready? Get set. You know what a monster you gonna get me ready? Go. Do you wanna go see it on the screen? There's a monster in your eye. There's a monster in your I know there. Iss, um, I would let it like, I feel like I've gotten really good shots of each of the girls groups of girls family. If there's any of those specific things you would like to see Don that we got you, Um, see, if there's any specific things you'd like to see, Don, whether it be like how you pose, like, different ages or whatever. I mean, they're a good little age range, so if there's anything Oh, no, he got me. Oh, no. What do you think? He said? He wants a hug. A couple questions from appear squeaky toys. You ever use squeaky toys to get the attention of squeaky toys? I have, Ah, Blower, that's in my But they're doing really good. Say just that Noises with my mouth seem to be working. But yeah, I do the noisemakers like party wants because you could just, like, stick him out of the side of your mouth and you still have all your hands free. And, um yeah, but do with little babies. Do make sure I always go up close to them and, like, blow it slowly and kind of let them get a feel for like what it is and what's making the noise, because otherwise it could frightened them rather than get their attention. Awesome. And then we also have a question. As Faras from Lynn wants to know, with all the different things you have to keep track of in a shoot with a larger family, Do you have a system of keeping tracks of the shot that you've already gotten versus the ones that you're going to need to take? I don't that all goes. I mean, I check in a lot with the kids, like I think this morning kind of Donna man like, Oh, we never did that jumping shoot. Did we? Still, like I asked Lola, do we do we do that? And usually amongst one of them that we remember if I got individual of this. But there's been a couple times where you realize that like, Oh, no, we only got, like, one set of shots about, you know, one of the kids by themselves. So yeah, it is. I don't have a method for doing that, like, I don't bring a shot list with me on these type of shoot, but it wouldn't be a bad idea if it's something that Okay. And then from Omaha, Nebraska. Quality or quantity? How many pictures for each child do you usually take? I catch myself taking about 200% procession, but only finding, like, five that I truly like and other folks in the chat room or have been saying, Wow, it's great how chin and seems to be very patient with her shooting. And you just wait for that right moment. Yeah, I actually have a pretty high percentage, though. Say I take 200 shots automatically. Half of them won't be shown because I always double click like every pose. I double shoot. So I automatically know my tuner will go down to 100. I would say of those 100 there are at least gonna get half of those, Um, and the ones they don't is usually due to eye blinks or random things like that. But I try. I really try. And I don't know, because I shot someone years with film and you couldn't waste the shot. But that's just like what was in green to me is like get everything set up, make sure everything's perfect, and then do it. So, yeah, I'm pretty particular about the shots. I guess that I take great and then with families. I don't know if we're getting to it tomorrow, but I'll throw the question. How do you present the work to families once it shot? What's that process like? Yeah, we actually are gonna talk about that when I'm gonna do post processing that. I'm gonna also walk through. Like what I showed of the families, how I show it to him, how I helped them decide, because that's a really big, really big part of getting your clients to buy the pictures. Is them knowing exactly what they want to buy? So we'll go through all of that yet tomorrow.

I loved this course. If you already know what you are doing as a photographer and are looking for fun and inspiration, this is a great class. Shannon didn't focus on the technical aspects, but rather HER way of working. She offered many, many fun and inspiring ideas to build a photo business that feeds your soul, rather than a business that just earns money from clients. She has taken an art form and made it her own. Her work is the result of her focus on her own personal style, which is fun, stylish, trendy and happy. I found this video to be inspiring and leading me towards making images that are my personal style. I can see how this course may have been challenging for people who are more about the technical aspects of photography, but hey, anyone can learn technique. The ART comes in when you can make it your own, when you can use photography as a way to express and reflect what you go going on on the inside. In Shannon's case, it's joy. Thanks CL for a fun, inspiring class and thanks, Shannon, for sharing your heart and your art. I had fun.

I really enjoyed this class. I love Shannon's style both of photography and connecting with the children and families she photographs. She doesn't tell you what to do step-by-step, but rather offers you a bag of tricks which to draw from. Rather than telling you what to do, she shows you what works for her. I found the course very inspiring and the posing techniques helpful. She successfully demonstrates that you can create beautiful photographs with no more than a wall or a chair but she also shows you how to go all out with a detailed styled shoot. She shows that there is not one formula for success.
