so circle of influence, right? The Onley thing that really will change your life is the people you meet and the connections you develop along the way. So the benefits of networking it's great for sharing ideas and knowledge. It's right for getting feedback, right? Whether it's discussing your point of view, asking for feedback, it will help you expand your knowledge and see things from a different point of view. So we're gonna go right into figuring out your passion to now how to connect with high level people that have already figured out their passion. But how to bridge the gap and build your network. You guys think that's pretty important. New opportunities. It's natural that networking is going to result in what opportunities Right? So realize that when you network and you develop connections, a lot of opportunities will arise from that as well. Okay, increased influence and income. Remember, you're not just gaining exposure to the people. You're communicating what they're connecti...
ng with, but you're building connections with their network as well. Okay, you're learning curves cut in half. If you really want to be successful, think about this doing something and failing that takes a lot of time, energy and effort. I'd rather cut my learning curve in half by talking to people who have already failed done it so I could get there quicker, right? So raising your social profile, raising your awareness, This is all what Networking conduce for you. And I love this quote by Owner Roosevelt. Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds just discussed people. So we're gonna talk about some very tactical ideas on how to maximize your power of association. Okay, so the first thing is right this down. You want to always ask who. So when you have your one page productivity plan out, guys, it has on their what? Your top five goals, your vision and your skills. But here's the key. Half of success is connecting with the right people. So most people on Lee talk about writing their goals down. The missing link is 50% of that is who you need to connect with that can cut your learning curve in half to get there quicker. People get so caught up in the day to day, they forget to connect with people who can speed along the process. All right, so whether it's starting a business, writing a book, creating an online course, poking your first speech, making six or seven figures, those air called focus schools All right. But remember, always ask who once you have your goals down now, I want you to add who can help me get there quicker. That makes sense, guys who can help you reach your goals and speed up your learning curve. I will teach you how to reach out to them, but an expand your net worth and your value. But who can get you to those goals quicker? Think about this logically. When I was dead, broke everyone around me. I was young. Everyone around me was broke, too, and most of more like That's okay. You're younger broke. So what? Yeah, it's good. Thanks for the vice, but the reality is I Onley connected started connecting with the top five people in my area. My industry all of them made 4 to 500 grand. So for five or six months I was broke. But I was connecting with people who made what, half a 1,000,000. So what did I make in the 1st 6 months? Six figures is that interesting? How could I not make six figures? It's physically impossible if I'm only doing things that these people that make 500 grand were telling me, it's almost impossible. But these days, people are getting advice from people that aren't getting the results they want. So that's why you have to think about your learning curve and speed it up toe where, if you want to make 1/4 1,000,000 talk to people making 700. If you have to call people in different areas and different states like Miami or Beverly Hills and ask what they're doing, do it. That makes sense, because people aren't doing that right there, staying with the same income and everyone around them has the same income. So we're gonna go through these in depth. But first, I want you guys right now to think about your circle of influence and evaluate how they're affecting your thinking, how they're affecting your actions, how they're affecting your standards. Que, Who were the five people you spend the most time with? And how are these people influencing you? And then I want you to create a make it or break it list. What this is is there's maintenance friends and there's growth friends. This is a tough topic because people like I have to get rid of friends that I've had since high school. I mean, success is no joke. If you're serious, you have toe make some tough choices. All right, so the maintenance friends, the ones you feel like you have to hang out with because, you know, I maybe it might even be some family people. You feel bad not hanging out with them, But you got to get serious about your business and realize it's not just about you. It's about the millions that are counting on you. Toe actually inspire them and the millions that need your help when the economy gets worse. Okay, so that's your maintenance friends. So write down your five maintenance friends. And then there's growth friends, people that challenging maybe their friends. You don't know really well yet. Maybe their friends that you want to get to know. Maybe they're people that you guys know on the academy that you see doing big things. I don't know, But here's the reality. Make sure you have your maintenance friends and your growth friends and lower the time you spend with your maintenance friends and increase the time you spend with their growth friends. This is a simple tactic that can be started right away. People like How do I get rid of people that super negative? Just lower your time with him. Don't reach out all the time and eventually, though, they'll stop calling. And if you want to connect with them, cool, try to bring it up to your level. But don't stoop down. There's okay, so identify people to drag you down. Identify your growth friends. And here's a scary rule. If you hang out with five confident people, you're gonna be the sixth. If you hang out with five millionaires, I promise you on everything. You'll eventually be the sixth. If you hang out with five intelligent people, you'll be the sixth. What if you hang out with five funny people? It'll rub off on you. But what do you hang out with? Five idiots? You laugh, but I'm serious. What happens? It's gonna rub off on you. Five alcoholics, Same thing. Five broke people. Same thing. Now I'm not saying forget you. You're broke. Try to get them to your level But if not, you gotta cut it off if they're not willing to change, Right. So think about that. You are the people you were around, so make sure you understand it Are aware of that as well. Okay, so the six full scary. So make sure the people you're around the most are go getters. They think big. They have no limitations. They're fired up. I'm trying on Lee be around people that are living the life of their dreams that love what they do. Just talking Lewis House about this little bit ago, right at his place in Hollywood, just overlooking the city was amazing, right? He's loving what he's doing while he's making a massive income. Right? So I want to be around those kind of people, Okay? So make sure you just understand your circle of influence
