Yes, it's 2024 and this camera is an oldie but a goodie - I still have it along with my 5D mk IV - and I still come back to this class from time to time - So if you have purchased a 7D and are unsure of it - This is your class

Yes but as always i jump in with both feet. silly me and got the wrong class for my camera i have a D7 but i have a D7 mark 2 what can i say i hope we can work something out ? but every John Class is so good well thought out easy to follow and great information would recommend Johns classes to any one that is in to understanding the tec side of a tool witch is their camera

John's course on the Canon 7D was outstanding in several respects. He covers the camera in a very thorough manner using the most impressive slideshow I've ever seen...both visually and informative. Highly recommend this course whether you have the first 7D or the 7D Mark II.

I have had my 7D for a few years, and the amount of information I learned from this class amazes me. I had muddled through getting most of the things done, but most of it the "hard" way. John's class makes it simple to understand, and very useful.

John Greengo's description of each button and menu function is concise. I sit with my camera in hand and setup my camera as he explains the pros and cons. A great introduction to a new camera.

Even though I am an experienced Canon user, John Greengo is excellent with covering tons of important information. For the experienced user, it's a good reminder of all you need to know. For the Novice this will get you up and running many times faster than on your own.

Use Johns classes whenever I upgrade equipment.

A must watch for those who are new to the Canon 7D. This course will walk you through all you need from the instruction manual, with some nice photo examples and deeper explanations of how things work. John Greengo is also a wonderful instructor and easy to listen to. Can't recommend this course enough!

Very useful. Picked up some good tips even though I've had my 7D for around 12months. I feel a lot more confident in using the camera and love the back button focusing set up for when I'm composing images using a tripod. I have had my 7D for a year and I have customised my Camera learnt the Instructions etc, but this class has humbled me and I relearned my basics and learned some things I didnt know about my camera. John Greengo, you are a legend. Excellent teacher and excellent class. Recommended for beginners and Intermediates - Pros can still learn someting too. Leo

If you already shoot with a Canon that is not a 7D, a lot of it you may already know, but it will help you get to know your way around the 7D's features, such as its autofocus system which, with exception of the more recent 1D MK4/X and 5D MK3, is one of the most advanced in the Canon DSLR range - this means it can take a little while and practice to get used to. The course is probably best suited towards the beginner and possibly intermediate users - and maybe someone coming from another camera brand such as Nikon and Pentax, etc. More advanced users will find it basic, although there is some good information on how to set the camera up, and setting the more advanced custom functions. Conversely, this is not a workshop on basic photography, so a little basic photographic knowledge will help you understand the topics being discussed (but that's not to say that a beginner won't get anything out of it). At the time of writing this review, cL have bundled this course with another of John's courses, "Fundamentals of Digital Photography". So I would recommend you take advantage of this special price if you are starting out.

Excellent class. Lots of great info demonstrated in a very easy to follow presentation. John is superb at slides, and little details. Thanks for a great day of learning. I love my 7D even more :)
