Designing Graphic T-Shirts with Brandon Rike

I am a beginner with T-shirt design and this class was very helpful in breaking down and understanding how to design! Brandon really pushes the idea of not being a perfectionist, which I definitely need to hear!

Excellent stuff, I'm no pro but I found the course useful. It's good to see what can be done so you have the idea filed as you work towards the ideal.

Obviosly a Pro and much respect but unless your an expert at Illustrator that portion went way to fast to keep up. If I knew I had to be a pro at illustrator I would not have purchased. Not the best teaching technique.

Excellent teaching. Best of all, he took a random word from a participant and built a truly awesome band logo for tshirt right before your eyes, going from sketch to final artwork in something like 15 minutes. Of course, his vast experience and skill must surely help him speedily come up with inspiring ideas, but nevertheless, he is truly inspiring. Much, much , MUCH better trainer than most others I have had the misfortune of watching.

Great class! His work is top notch and he shows a lot of integrity in his designs and how he communicates with clients. I do believe he combs thoroughly through shirt design elements and how to apply it in Illustrator and Photoshop. I think you should already have some working knowledge of the software to follow the last portion, otherwise take good notes and rewatch if necessary!

This was a very worthwhile class. The first part has a lot of repetition, and the last part needs to be a lot more detailed and/or slower. There's a lot of information in it that I missed the first time. Brandon has created some great application shortcuts to do his work--and it's easy to miss what he's doing as he breezes through his lesson/concept via a shortcut, which means it's all twice as fast to the learner. He's definitely knowledgeable, but training skills could be refined.

The class was informative and helpful in developing ideas, sketching and working with clients. The only problems were the last 2 sections of the course where he used Illustrator and photoshop to create the final output (files) to show his clients. He kind of sped through those sections which I feel is the most critical step in sending print ready files to the printers. I would of liked it if Brandon mentioned the "do's and dont's" of sending files to screenprinters. (For ex: what files to they prefer...jpg, eps, png's; how many colors can you use, etc...)
