Nikon D610/D600 - DSLR Fast Start with John Greengo

Really enjoyed this course as usual John presents this course so it's easy to understand and follow along, very informative, and presented really well.

This was so helpful and really got me comfortable with my new camera. When I took it out of the box I immediately though "what did I get myself into" based on all the button and knobs. After taking the class I feel relatively comfortable in my understanding of the different components of the basic points of photography but also just the camera in general. Time and practice will only help this!

I've owned the D610 for about a year now. I not a huge fan of learning from the manual so I wasn't 100% familiar with my camera. Mr Greengo is a fantastic instructor. His pace and the tone of his voice makes for easy learning. I would bet a topic I wasn't really interested in would be interesting due to his teaching style. I am looking forward to taking more of his Classes.

Some of it was over my head because I'm such a novice (and slow on the pickup anyway), but Mr. Greengo was so very clear and patient. I do appreciate his fine work. I intend to take the class over.

I am about half way through this D600 course. Like many people it turns out I learn significantly better visually (and hands-on). Thanks to John's well spoken and clear style absorbing his presentation is very effective. I have already applied even simple D600 features. Even if you are thinking about this model I strongly recommend this course- If you're like me, you already made the plunge. That's O.K.- this will maximize your experience. Do it.

I did pick up a few tips and some information that I wasn't able to find/understand in my camera manual.

Great class - currently rewatching the show considering that I need to refresh my memory, was busy for the last 10 months so I never picked up the camera. However, Johns class is helping me to remember key points faster.

I have used my D610 for a while now and i felt i needed to really get into the functions and settings to get familiar with the camera and make better use of it. Reading books and manuals can be quite boring, however when i came across this class and completed it i was very surprised on how intuitive it was. I was impressed with the content, Johns knowledge and presentation skills. I think this is a must for any owner of this camera. I highly recommend this. Loved this class. I knew more than I thought about my camera but there was still plenty to learn. Great instructor, very detailed. I feel like there is noting I do know now when it comes to functions and operation. The amount of confidence gained by understanding every button is huge. This is only the beginning, a test run. Can't wait to enroll in my next class with John.

Just Bought the Nikon D610 and read the manual about three times already. John's course has made life a lot easier to find and adjust the camera settings. John's course go through all functions you need to know about to take great pictures with the Nikon D610.

Deciphering the manual is a daunting task. John's class has shown me how little of the camera's capabilities I was actually using. Excellent course.

John Greengo's courses are always first class. The knowledge he imparts is above and beyond and one always learns much more each time. This course on the D600/610 is most helpful with his detailed description of everything about the camera.

Excellent course to get the most out of my camera. While the manual gives you how to set things, there are things I didn't know could/should be chosen, or combinations of settings, because I didn't understand the WHY. Pleased to say I am now enlightened. Owning the course is super helpful - it allowed me to experiment hands-on with my camera and the ability to step-back and repeat while I grasped a concept. From knowledge to skill....thank you, John!

I am a fairly experienced UK user and wasn';t sure what to expect, but was very impressed. I like the slick CL website and well produced HD videos. John is certainly a very good teacher, who is clearly spoken and tells you what you need to know about the D600. I was able to sit with my camera in hand and go through all of the controls and picked up some very good tips, which I will use in Bhutan tomorrow! So I like my new teacher and on that basis will be coming back to take John's Fundamentals of Digital Photography and also the Olympus EM1 courses, which represent good value for money.

It's a must attend for those who bought D610/600 or may be planning for buying. You have two choice, either read the entire manual and spend time understanding what it means every page or get this course and understand in a very easy and visual way. I love it.

What can I say John Greengo is the best photography instructor and the best prepared instructor I have ever witnessed. His visual aids are second to none along with his presentation style and years of experience you can't ask for any thing better. He covers the D600/D610 from top to bottom and doesn't miss a thing. If you have this camera and don't feel you are using it to the best your ability, then try this course. You will come away with a much better understanding of how to better use your D600. If you are new to digital photography or if you might need a little reinforcement of the basics then I highly recommend his 5 day course "Fundamentals of Digital Photography 2014." He covers everything in this course from what different camera brands offer, along with exposure to composition, and from focusing to lenses and lighting. He doesn't miss a thing and neither will you with John's clear and concise teaching style.
