You’ve decided to do it. You’re going to purchase a ticket to the crazy roller coaster of starting your own photography business.

Learning digital photography seems like a tough task—especially when you're met with all kinds of technical jargon that leave you clueless and itching for a dictionary. Or worse, leaving you trying to explain what you just learned by using phrases like “that hole you look through” or “that one button you press to take the picture.

When we talk about how to start a photography business, we often talk about portfolios, skill-sets, clients, a business plan,  business license and of course business name, and all the important aspects of getting yourself off the ground. One extremely important fact or that often gets overlooked is what photography equipment is needed to start a photography business.

In Charles Dickens's classic "A Christmas Carol," the Ghost of Christmas Past was a scary and morose figure and a reminder of all the things that Ebenezer Scrooge had done wrong in his life. In reality, for the most part, Christmases past aren't really very scary.

Life is precious and fleeting. Memories that matter and bring us joy, need to be brought to life.
