Day 2 - Pre-Show

Good morning Internet and welcome to sparking business growth. With Mike McCalla. It's here on creativelive. I'm Evelyn Dan Ford and this is Jay Ko and we're going to be your host today. We're excited to be here. We had an incredible day yesterday. A lot of info were all soaking up. I personally my favorite moment was when we talked about alignment and focusing in on what your strengths are in your business and really honing that skill. And I thought that that was just It blew my mind and I don't know, how are you feeling about yesterday? He was fantastic. I mean, there's so much information I think might condone it. It's such a great job. What I found really powerful was how to grade your customers. I think everybody just believe that the customer that spends the most money with you has to be your top. It was great to learn that there are other ways of looking at it, and that's not necessarily true. Absolutely great felt the same way about the same way. Well, I know we have a lot more...

exciting moments to cover today, but before we do, we're going to do about five minutes. Appreciate. We're gonna test our audio and video levels. Make sure you can hear us and see us. All right. So, jumping in those chat rooms, let us know that you can see us, that you can hear us. Also, let us know where you're joining us from. We love to hear from you absolutely had a great international audience yesterday. We had folks joining us from South Africa. So let's say we topped after today. Let's see who is the furthest away. But in addition to our online audience, of course, we've got a great audience here of students in the studio, and we're going to ask them to introduce themselves, tell us a little about where they're from and what they're hoping to get out of today. And, of course, what their take away moment. What's from yesterday? So, Travis, welcome back. I start with you, will be here again. I'm artist from Boulder, Colorado. You confined most my work online and instagram under the user trust gets. So that's t R us kus and the biggest take away from yesterday for me, like there so much. But, um, under promising and over delivering is huge. I am an zero in India and Z on eBay and I'm from Mill Valley, just across the Golden Gate Bridge. And yesterday was an awesome day for me as well. I think the prosperity plan was one of the top sections for me versus a business plan because prosperity is really where it's at. Business plan sounds so dry. But as an entrepreneur, I'm looking forward. Toa hearing more about the pruning aspects today I want to get rid of like yes, yes, exactly. Thank you. Hi, I'm tune our Juniper never from Sacramento, California and I'm a memory journalist. We do wedding and portrait out of Sacramento and my biggest, I think Ah ha moment really yesterday with the idea that you only have to change 5% of your business to get somewhere else and that 5% can be just baby steps. And we don't have to jump off that well, really quickly. And we can we can do and it just takes 5% change. Great. Thank you. I am Kirsten from Menlo Park, California and my business is sprout shell. We are a baby carrier cover that is No. They must have fashion accessory for every new parent. That was a great take away from yesterday, kind of shifting my mindset of what what my product can be on and also creating a special community with my customers and making them feel special. Absolutely. Yeah. We all had a lot of fun bringing you and talking about the idea. I think everyone enjoyed that part of thing. I am Debbie from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and I'm a Google plus hangouts on air producer and, um, embedded multimedia journalist on. And I think really the biggest take away that I had from yesterday was reconnecting with the vendor well, and getting back to those relationships that have been so profitable for me in the in the past. Yeah. Yeah, thank you. And I'm Jason Spencer. I am a deejay master of ceremonies in wedding, efficient and online. You can find me dispenser weddings dot com or facebook slash spencer weddings. And I think my biggest take away there were so many. It's hard to choose. What? What was very interesting to me actually was when we did the brainstorming activity and we had June turned with her back and couldn't say anything to us. and we just spouted out anything possible. But it was a very interesting take on how to brainstorm. And I really took that away. Which is kind of strange that that would be the one thing I bring up. Yeah, as you all are talking, I'm being reminded of even more things that I'm like. Oh, right. That was really incredible to know. I think we all have those moments yesterday that we really all enjoyed. Now I think we're just about ready to introduce our instructor. We had an amazing day yesterday with him. He's a former small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal and a segment host for MSNBC's business makeover. Additionally, he built and sold to multimillion dollar companies and is currently operating his third. Mr. Mike McCalla, It's Please come up on stage. Do they get it right? Thank you. Do you get started?

I was a part of the live audience, so I had a little extra business growth behind the scenes. If you ever have a chance to attend a live broadcast, I highly encourage it. This program follows the concepts of Mike's book "The Pumpkin Plan" very closely, but it's the expanded elements that make it worth every penny. I pulled quite a few business ideas and nuggets that I still use nearly a year later. Even owning the course, I took over 17 pages of detailed notes. Gaining a solid understanding of Immutable Laws, Pruning, UPOD, and so much more helps you from day one. But it's much more than that, because you can create a system that allows you to almost grow on auto-pilot and build profit along the way (the Profit First segment was one of my favorites because I'd already been doing some of it). It you own a business, you can't go wrong with this course in your arsenal of tips and tools.
