Yeah, great shoulders hold. Hold that line you cross you left leg over your right one, um your left leg over the top of the right yeah there you go yeah stick your butt out a little bit okay lift your hair up from behind I want to see like your neck and shoulder yes beautiful I'm gonna grab the eighty five real quick sorry turned it off how much time is left um do you currently have the modifier are the film on the light right now this is just the model eight were fired flesh keeper I hold it beautiful beautiful sea lighting wise how thatis ok so want yeah take both hands and do it um and the more hair you get up there the better awesome and then turn all the way to the side yeah exactly both hands up turned both hands up in your hair turn all the way to the side that's perfect yes just like that just like that opening up a little bit more right there stay right there don't move okay sorry gotta hold that for a sec turned off my camera back so lunch okay good sorry hold just a second and we don't need the fan letter eyes go and you can lower your eyes a little bit yes I'll be ready in just a second I'm sure tether on excellent. What question? It's from sweet pea photography she's wondering about negatives face and using it are there any rules of thumb that you khun suggest you know rules to stick by for negative space um use it incorporated um I've got your thirty minutes till lunch people so I'm gonna move along and I'm gonna get in that question in a second ok? Sorry I'm just going to make it feel like you should second there you could lower your eyes and tell you that and then look at me pete with just your eyes you khun turn if you need to pivot yeah frasier arm a little bit more yeah what's that that's perfect and smile with your eyes that was great I want to see was the light blocking her? Was that perfect? Oh, I didn't get it in there. Okay, turn your head towards light a little bit towards the light your head towards the light ah, there you go. You're perfect! Let me save that. Gets it awesome and then just yeah, look down with your eyes and then look at me with your eyes beautiful. Okay, awesome. So be I don't know if you were paying attention but I just worked with something until I feel like I felt like I got it finally took me a little time. I sweated it out but I was working with it that's probably the longest I would stay with something if it still wasn't working, I would let it go okay, awesome take take a five second break you're doing so great I'm in love with like this talk the details I want to get like just a vertical it from your lips to like right here um so I think maybe behind and maybe have the fan on her hair a little bit and perfect lips just like nice and pouty and makes you don't block the light john beautiful perfect stay like that lips one more um can you take this was perfect take everything you're doing just keep that maybe bring your hands and a little more like this so it opened it closes that space up yes maybe give me couture shoulder perfect and then just your head a little bit that way perfect excellent john thank you okay and great her foot all right, let's get some life in here umm do you wanna work with some props let's work with some props I want to see that cat mask I think you can rock it I think you're like I think I can do let's do this again so awesome yeah, okay see she no dude no no no no we're gonna hold it let's just go awesome. So oh shit sorry. Not only did I turn my camera but also sorry um so wait a minute wait wait, I know you're all you are so gonna rock this assumes my camera is actually on and ready sorry about what the settings are. Yes, my settings are one hundred one one, twenty fifth and two point five I haven't changed it since I started going pretty much set it up, get it right and then you don't really have to change as long as like, your model doesn't creep towards light like we were kind of doing and I was like, I haven't checked my light in the second and I felt like we were getting to close and sure enough, I was hot and we're gonna be eight hundred in here and it's down all the way to one thirty second power. So, lois, weekend power so we could get that two point five thank you. Busy till they hold on, hold on. And so the one thing working with the mask and the strobe, you have to be careful because if she pulls it out too far and tilt your head a certain way like the mask is going to block her eyes so that's the only thing you have to like we're with, uh, working with the mask and the strobe. Okay, we're ready now you cannot that wait, wait, wait awesome who love it, can you do like a bit of a rar yes, bring the mask down a little bit, obscurity rise no, I mean yeah right there and look towards the light a little bit and I'm going to shoot you this way perfect can you do something like holding it differently but can you hold it like this with your hands like just gripped up um a little bit like maybe more delicate or like a cat or something and hold it up to your face the right way then okay hold it ok and can we tie it on you for a sec to funny yeah so if you're her head is tilted down you'll see you do not see the eyes you have to really make sure like you gotta keep it tills up we only see the left one need over these air good so you got to keep working that damascus heart disease okay okay this might be one where we take this cheat this out a little more is or I could just move over but well cheated this way perfect okay, awesome and maybe bring it down a little cool so let's get all cat like your wrists or whatever um hold on one second okay. And like bringing right around here, john you're so fast and handy I'll take you home uh sure qin would object rightfully so you're going for just do a bunch of silly stuff I would love to see you like yeah and look at me and let's do it the other way towards the light hold on um uh I would so love to like do when we're leaning over that way sorry towards the light I want to see an arch in the back like really archer back to lean over to your old knees and now she's lower so the light might still be too low yeah perfect that arm somewhere else only cause I can't fit in the frame lean over more all right this might not work plating wise but we'll check it actually not bad very good expression loving it perfect can you like I don't know reach a hand out towards me or something can you fan her? I love that dude again you must like the rocker thing that was funny okay take a second um I might just anyone want to jump in here for a minute I love that last one e think brandy's mask oh gosh get him online anywhere but I get my mask in new orleans because I go there a couple times a year and that one is his derek go I need to see tongue now sorry let's do that one more time let's get so yeah let's get some I want to lick your wrists or something yeah to this by maybe lift yeah yeah to decide your left hand come a little closer to me your left hand I'm getting caught up in the okay let me do one for light sorry yeah she's way closer take a half a step back okay and I want like a profile to the side all the way you just looked totally to the side yeah and then lick your wrist okay hold on one second I'm just gonna move this so I can see I cheated this way and turn right that's perfect right there yes yes yes perfect perfect perfect okay but then don't look at me look at the light source cheek to meet you to meetyou to me but don't look at me okay good good good little tongue okay, thanks for working with me on that all right. Um here's something cute that I like to do with this mask in particular star intern thing again let's take it down um sometimes like this able teo I know poke it up and it does years might be too tight let's see if you can do it like this would go around your neck and that kind of comes up it might not work yeah, but forget it usually he slide it back far enough will look like you're but it's still actually looking like something totally different. So do we have the signs questions mackenzie did you find those? Yeah, they're my business cards with the little notations on him yeah that's what I was talking about let's show these oh, we have gloves do you think you can work these all right. These air fun. Um, let's do that for a little bit of my on eighty five it's like heaven have it. How about you guys? He's? Got a question? I know john has one. Well, I was asking me earlier about when I was about the film over the actual light itself. You're not using that now because this one doesn't drop the power enough. If I needed, it was still too bright. I put the identity if the ceilings were lower and the walls where it was a smaller room, you would then put it on if you need, it ends on the situation. I mean, if I can get the lake in close enough it's not going to hit the walls bounce around. Okay, but it's spoken to brighter, but you might try an alien before hundred. See if that goes lower. This's longer. Stay covered. Excellent on the fan. Yeah. Yeah. That's hot. Yeah, you you told that you pull up your whatever you got there? Yeah, do exactly that. Hold that. Um, but actually pull it up, yank it from the from where it in dense. See your attendance, the lace flip it kind of slits, pull it up from there, thanks, john. There's a little. Yes, you got, so grab it right there and pull it up. Put your finger into them, and then you can look at me, face that way and look down your body, but face that way. Thank you. Hold, let me see if I know that I gotta take a little bit. Do that one more time for me, and bring your knee up a little bit more. Yeah, perfect, gorgeous head to the light. Awesome. Relax. Okay.

This is meant to be a HELPFUL review for those that are wondering if they should purchase this workshop. About 75% of what I took away from this workshop was posing, composition for boudoir and the importance of eye lines and capturing movement. I had two boudoir sessions a week after this workshop and my images significantly improved. I was able to coach my clients through poses better, direct them on where to look for better eye lines, I was more aware of their posture and how to fix it, I think I sounded more professional and felt more confidant with getting awesome poses, stand out expressions and adding movement to my images. I put a fan on my client the way Christa does.. and she is right! The instant I put the fan on my client, her expression changed and you could tell she was really "feeling it". She told me she felt like a real supermodel right after I turned on the fan. If you are looking for inspiration on how to coach women and pose for boudoir then Christa is the girl for you. I think the most worthwhile thing I learned watching this is something that will help me in the years to come... with my brand, my website, my workflow and my business goals. I learned how to "keep it simple" which is Christa's tag line. For example Christa brings a roll of gray background paper and uses gaffer tape to hang it from the wall of the hotel (instead of bringing a 12ft background stand). I know this seems simple but this will change my life! I hate dragging equipment back and forth. There are some negative reviews on here about Christa's technical skills, but I think these people may have missed the whole point. If you provide an awesome product and an awesome experience for your client, they will buy it. And guess what.. your client will never know if you used your camera in auto or manual and they won't care if you used one light instead of two. As someone who has been in business for 3 years doing boudoir exclusively I learned a lot. I see a lot of value in learning from someone who doesn't spend a lot of money on fancy equipment, yet charges her clients over $3,000 for sessions. I'm a huge fan of her keep it simple philosophy and I'm glad Christa is willing to be honest about her workflow and how she best utilizes her time. Your not going to agree with or use everything Christa talks about, you take the parts that you like and are most helpful to you and work them into building a stronger business.

AWESOME DEAL on Christa's course. I just sent an email to my husband to tell him thanks for "gifting" me this course. I told him just the ONE CLASS about pricing was worth the full $129 price of the course. And there are over 50 classes?! That is a crazy stupid good deal. You can learn something good from every class you take, every book you read, and just apply the stuff that works for you. There are a lot of people out there who seem to just enjoy giving crappy reviews, and to me it's almost like bullying. How someone could not find $129 worth of value in this course is beyond me. In my opinion this course is worth over a thousand bucks, because it can help you make SO much more money. I hate when I see people whining about things that are not 100 percent perfect, and they get annoyed if the person isn't catering to their exact needs. It's like the Yelper generation, with a disturbing sense of entitlement. I would love to see those people try teaching a class about boudoir and see if they could do any better. It also seems like, the more popular a person gets, the more other people feel the need to tear them down. I'm grateful that Christa even offered this course at ALL. Thanks Christa for all you do to help those of us who really need to know this stuff. You rock.

I never thought I would shoot boudoir. I am a shy and private person. I started entertaining the idea when I first saw Christa's work and saw how beautiful and tasteful it can be. I love her lighting and all that she uses from historic painters and sculptors. I watched all three days live and learned a ton. I have a lot of lighting education, but it was nice to freshen up my skills. I loved the posing tips and the three typical situations she uses for one shoot. I loved learning about how she shoots in hotels and also using things like an outdoor situation. I have now shot my first boudoir session and it was a total hit. I am thrilled to show my client her images. This was fantastic! Thank you, Christa!
