Baby Emma Edit

I have brought the images into light room and the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to do a quantity at it a quantity edit is to really call the images and really take the number down we shot two hundred and I want to take him down to the best images and then just work from there so I'm gonna first just take a look and I'm going to just delete the baby wass facing away from you the audience were using a prop here so first one I'm like okay but that leg kind of bothers me I'm going to see if I have one better and I'll compare ok same images hours of foot in there and we'll take it out and I'm going to keep going see I didn't like that leg and we fixed it so that's going and then I'm getting rid of this one and I'm just kind of telling you why I'm getting rid of them so these air very similar sometimes if they're really similar I'll take a look closer is it a soft imager a sharp image that first one looked a little soft so we're going to get rid of it that one looks a little bette...

r but I do know that I ended up fixing that bonnet and I did change to calvin so I'm mbesuma head real quick because if I know that there's a string of images I'm goingto look and be like wait a minute I'm pretty sure that I perfected that images I went along it got sharper and I fixed the bonnet so I'm gonna kind of go back and be like I am alan and that one I don't need that one and then I'm going to go backwards for a minute and just see because I do like that one but I don't like the bonnet and like the bonnet there better than there and if you look at the same image so this goes that goes and really all these go I really don't need these because the bonnet wass cricket I may keep one and see if I can fix the bonnet but we'll go back again because I don't think I need it I also switched to common temperatures so you could see the difference between that one wasn't on away bounds then that one was that I had switched to calvin so I'm going to get rid of that move along came beautiful good so now we have we have a full body bonnet then we have a close up now we're going to go to the headband so I have this one this one this one this one it's like really all the same image so let's just get rid of these we don't need well I'll keep that one because it's a nice for asano this is a vertical that's a horizontal to that one looks better than that one so when doing this for a client whether I shoot fifty images or five hundred images I want to try to avoid duplicate poses and if the baby's assistant of assistance in hand is in there and get that out so she was kinda side sleeping there so there she's in a rap side sleeping then we switched her there and there and there and there and there so we were trying to perfect her shot her head man's a little off but I could probably fix that but we don't need two of them one is good so this one is better than that one that one is good good yellow so we're going to take that one out because we have that and these were almost the same so we're going to get rid of this one well let's compare get rid of that one I like that one that one's really good too so I assume and I take a look looks nice and sharp so does that one they're almost the same one is more critical one more is for zone that was the same just don't need all of these these air almost identical so we're gonna take this one out these are almost identical ball keep both of them so I made crop it differently and see how we're just kind of calling these images down one hundred sixty five photos to go through so I'm first just taking out all these one's with the hand because I'm pretty sure that I got a full body shot and I did so once I know that I did I'm going to take all these out so there we go so I know I got a full body but that one's a little stops or go to another one and another one and say this friends better good so I don't leave this room and I don't need this one now we were fussing with the rap so way I'm just going into a meeting that one this phone once okay we'll keep going that was a little door best angle so we're going to jump ahead and look at these poses and I kind of will say what I have okay got that one that one's fun and then we're going to go back I like that one good okay so that's good that school take out that one way don't need ten images of the same baby so I really don't need any of these other ones I have that one that was great and I know that one because I keep that one but I'm crazy about it but well I like that one better so that's out so there's two outfits done very simple now we're going to go into the cramp and this is where I'm going to say we need to retouch so this whole round of the tram is going to the re toucher so what I'm going to do is I'm adan and picked the best one I like that one that's good picks the bonnet um alan's cute too it's a little kind of same so let's take this one so we have that one mmm well keep a faraway won a close up on that's where she was holding his hand so I'm going to take a hand ones out because the issue with that is when we go to retouch it it's going to be probably hard to get tiffany's hand out with it looking natural she was just kind of hanging on here so we're going back through I'm kind of going backwards and forwards a little bit here so I like that one and that one so we'll keep one far away a little bit closer up those air good I don't think we need that one was for the arm is kind of interesting in here we don't mean that you know we do going back because I forgot the tip he was holding this hand so let's go back to that one and then at the end of the day if we look at these we can see fine morning to retouch all of these rain so let's take a couple of these down so that was good I like the pose will fix what we're going to fix in years we're going to tell me touch up too get rid er but see we're going to get rid of these hands were gonna smooth this line take for away clean appear fixed this here so I'm fine with that I really only need one great image and maybe we do just a different angle so we'll take those to so seo simple now we're going to be wilson those to the re toucher now let's kind of look at the family I'm going to go through this is all set up so we don't need any of this get rid of all this now let's look okay this one's a little yellow sight left calvin on you didn't just the color temperature so I'm zooming in cause now I'm looking at faces so this is where when you're falling you wantto look at faces and say we'll have mom's kind of shushing well I've been there it's kind of in the face keep looking a little bit wiser close crispy was fascinated with this specimen who was hands in a way so you know this this calling process could take a little bit of time so baby looks good bare hands amir which kind of was a little smile so we're going to stick with that one and working and banging go backwards again so they were looking down in that siri's so now we can go back to looking up so they look in there and we had changed the baby's hand I'm going to keep that but that's a deeper can't so I say we go back in love mama done the great bear but baby have tenured a smile there so we'll stick with that one but we don't need that one that was q is there better smiling that one no so we're going to go back here hear hear so a little soft okay so we're going to say ok we've won too for now we're going into this whole series of don and mom looking so again we need to call through this you need to get through this so mama looking while looking down with a bomb that sob so it's one's better better better oh that was better because they're touching their head see that slight difference you little song so it's a lot of school a little far away it was fun because they're looking kind of kissing you was fun with each other you can keep the whole little siri's and when we go back and crop insides we ended a little bit so there's munna wanted closer she dio then I'm not crazy about that look so let's see if we have a better look at it out there that I asked her to bring her face up a little bit more so I did we got a little bigger smile good so that duplicate of that beautiful okay so then we go in teo this was position jamie my hands are all over the place this is where we're just gonna want a crop baby so we're gonna keep that well I love that I'm situation so sweet no face so what happened with that kiss kissing booth capturing get dad's chili so smooth so there I was looking for so we got it so we're down to forty and I'm probably gonna call it down even more so now what we're gonna do is I'm gonna go back here and I'm just going to start basic crop first and foremost this full crop we'll see what we get now when I'm pre pre cropping the idea is to show the clients well put it so it's a little more okay so well the idea is that I'm free crafting these but I'm letting my clients who knew their pre cropped it is let's say they say oh I want a twenty by twenty I'm like new problem you can do that you could make a twenty twenty so um that's what I love about just having fun and free cropping because we can pretty much make this any size or shape and then let the client know we'll be horizontal could be protocol many times I'll show them black and white but I also like to shoot black and white camera should think seuss um pregnancy sure yet this is where you can have fun and saying why she meant to crop that a little bit differently now I'm going to do a basic crop on this but remember that this is going to touch it so I'm not overly concerned myself with those just well in a little bit close this is where you know I might just make some black and white you know just start playing it's me but then I may also say okay want this in color gonna just this temperature a little bit because remember it was on calvin it was a little bit much we're losing light like nobody's business was just issue I just kind of keep things up center sometimes I don't shoot this way because I feel like many parents I don't necessarily want it so um I just wanted to kind of just when this moving right along I'm just dropping now which you can do is when I'm like looking at this I'm saying okay between the color temperature down adjusted I could just sink this across so I just shifted and clicked and I'm just going to sing to notice I'm not sinking the cropping but I can sink what I'm doing so don't have to do in each time this is where black and white but it's really good and I could see if I have um cool things I love different preset so one willow it's really produce all right so we'll do that one will be sad and then I could say oh I'm tired he was kissing one with that you see those two and sometimes I have to jump ahead and play so only way to get through the board so that's fun right if you look at those two side by side um so I'll show you in labor so if I look at those two side by side it's not fun looks may be a little more yellow pics from so that seems just a little bit okay so I kind of need to play sometimes just to get through the craziness of anything but this is something that maybe I'll have my assistant's tio I don't know who's doing it I what I do the calling the quant getting the quantity down but but my assistance with usually handle the cropping part she sharper there I lost I lost a parent so we don't need that it's going closer here holds kind of tristan the shame would get him lift his head up but I wasn't so jerry on this little things you wanted perfect afterwards we just gotta keep doing it just remember it later kind of in a rush so I like I like this um be more times too so if I highlight what that would be times to fun so then if we're going ok that it's got a library show you so if I was sharing the plane and gil oh I like those three that's fun but look into just that little bit just kind of matchup sets just bring a little bit examine him little exposure that's fun let's go back to library and this is where we had talked about sleep peaks on the set today this is where this is be a good thing to sleep people they're still little yellow there we'll fix that one time through together trying something that one more time but sometimes this exposure is just a little different temperature just the contrast don't use the highlights okay so we're gonna go here here it's a here there here it's pretty still want to learn a little bit more I like that so now I'm going to go back and I'm gonna just try to adjust this and I do use different presets I find presets all over the place that's when willow not crazy about those let's see then I'll go here and everybody has their thing soft orchard is pretty but does that deliver too much of a purple tone then I go to vintage baby that looks a little bit better so then I'm still going to bring that temperature down a little bit I'm gonna just this exposure a little bit more I'm just my contrast and if you look that coloring what's much better than that one right sounds bringing so we're going to sink those up and I love that could be used to color checker and avoid it all now but that's really that's kind of fun really fun and now we could just go see oh hey they look really good I want clarity a little bit and just kind of make things a little for small crystal clear does not look much better so if we adjust the clarity just a little bit and then even if we sink that and take everything off with clarity that way it just soothe clarence and so that's fun so now we kind of got to go back here and be like is that what we're doing for everybody well I don't know I really like that way we can say let's take that same look and but sinking so you gotta love sinking because it's less things to do we're just gonna put all of these battles and I've got to come off the cross cropping and then so what we're gonna do is we're going to sink so if I'm playing around I'll find one to play with and then if I like it I'm like let's sync it up and down now keep in mind I only see peak one or two so I'm just going to pick one or two to see peak and I'm gonna show you how I do it right now this one little word here guessing dreamy baby like that go back because it's too to dreaming so I can go up here and be like you know if I like any of these and they just have to make my own formula maternity is pretty from one will oh that's pretty um so see that's good so since I like that I'm gonna sink it crop know that shadows bugging me so this is where I may kind of change that speech it doesn't do we don't know do you have private forum tile peon farm where we do a lot of education training and learning to understand it was a page form though but be a little bit more help might be a good place to go do you want to dodge some of that lighting but you can do that so this is one where I say gosh I love that that's so yummy she's just in there and that's yummy this one's teo just little red maids I like that one fixed the shadow so technically I'm done I knocked it down to thirty nine lose two we'll just warm this up tad what would happen if I win pop this burning his own this match at matt's edge darkening was just a free a free beat and I just found searching on the net won't get you to steal that so technically I would export everything now well what I'm going to do is I'm gonna pick two to sneak peek so I like that one and I'm going to say gosh I love that let's pop that in now seems has edited copy with light room adjustments or just edit a copy I'm gonna edit copy with light room adjustments because I like my adjustments um and so when I go in here I'm zoom in a little bit see baby's face and then I'm just a bit but I want to get rid of the shadows well so I'm just gonna kind of select this shadow now remember this is purely for fun for sneak peking obviously mom khun see what I've done but I do not retouch every image because there's just no reason to I mean there really is it so I'm really just gonna clone here and do some blending just kind of play around just see what I see here in just really just kind of work with it I don't want to go crazy I'm just trying to spend a couple minutes cloning feeding up so that um looks a little bit better maybe been a better crop doing a sized rock then I may want to say let me just see if I can select her face and take out some of the rags a little bit too much she is coming so seaman who's a little bit more in I can also do a little bit of a dodgy that's a little bit better I am gonna run portraiture I love portraiture because it just gives that little smooth skin see how pretty her skin just smooth and then I'm gonna just run a little run sharpen sharpen that a little bit they see a little bit of funds and you I'm gonna just fuller this some of her smooths her skin saw little thing here and so this would be for a sneak peek and so um sometimes the portraiture you can adjust the portraiture I'm going to test my color sometimes they run a little perfect color from far bala so clumsy I love it sometimes I hate it but sometimes if I'm a little uncertain with make color I will run it and see if I like it and if I don't turn it off have you seen me by actions yes you don't like it that action's from all over the place um what if I put it back on and put it a little reciprocity bring it down that's better than not having it all just a little bit right just a pop a little bit because we can take it flattened image and I lost a little bit here and I don't know I guess I could just play around a little bit try to really only spend a few minutes kind of doing this this play because um this is just first week so when I do that I also do an s in front of it and I save it s means it's a sample now what's gonna happen is it's popping it back in light room right so when the client sees the edited images they're going to see that this looks way different than this one and then we say well that's because I adjusted it and I played with it I mean it look amazing that's what it looks like you know and then I can also say you know this is what it would look like with mom and baby and I may pop it in it's looking a little yellow so I would probably say oh I think I did a true black and why discard the color and then let me just try and just think terms a little bit and blowing things out soon adjust the contrast a little more wanna like lose everybody but I could take this and do a fun crop like this and say the mom well that's fun I like that why don't we try that as a sample it could just suit mom's a brother and I can also run portraiture in smooth things along as well and then just sharpened well that's a good option let's say that is a symbol that might work so if I jump back you can see that the sample hops in here now I did crop it mean it black and white but I also have that other copy this one to show that's what it could look like a swell so they kind of have an option now when I'm in photo shop what I usually do is size it for the web site and I'll put seventy two nine hundred and I'll put my water mark on it and also came put a little water marked on it I'll save it as a peon gene and then I'll put a w that means watermark and now that's something that I could sneak peek so those were other images of this plane so now I'm ready to export so I'm going to export this whole thing and when I export we are running the export through portraiture because going through amount genetic imagine I mean portraiture so I'm going to select the folder and I'm going to create a portraiture export folder and what that tells me is when I look at these images later haven't touched the originals what I've done is I've edited them I've created them as proofs now they're going in a separate folder so the originals are untouched right so if I go back to these images you're going to see that emma these air her originals and now what's happened is a portrait your file is coming you can see the ones that I played around with and you can also see my website version and that's where I would say I'm going to do a little sweet peak on facebook I'm going to go here and say I just created I'm going to say I'm just recorded my actually my actions actions my editor in light well I call images a just create sneak peeks and export stay to a man objects host a little due back tonight emma and so this is what I'm doing so what's happening is many times when I'm editing a session I'll post on facebook and usually the client knows oh anna's working on my images because I'm just posting a little soup pete I'm not going crazy but I'm just posting one sleepy to show what I've done when I look at it on the screen and we should looked a little brighter it's a little something more darker but that's okay I'm gonna leave it and I'm done so I'll see you on grade of life and your watch if you're watching me watch or you're downloading this is of course download I hope you enjoy it and I'll see you

I look forward to learning more from you in the future while watching your course over and over. I can't wait to start this new journey of imagery. Thank you!

I cant believe I got this on sale! So happy with this purchase. The one thing I feel I would have changed is I feel she rushed through the newborn sessions really quickly and spent ALOT of time on maternity. I would have liked to see a lot more of the newborn posing and info versus a dozen maternity. But all in all its full of a lot of great info and I love that its not voice over....it is true time so I can see how she is interacting with the clients. Thankyou Anna I love love love your work always!!

I loved this class! I learnt SO much and I have actually gained confidence with my work from watching Anna. She is a great teacher and I absolutely love her work. This is definitely the best class I have purchased on Creative Live. Thank you! :)
