Great class. I've been doing headshots in a rather haphazard way for a while. This class showed me so many ways to improve my work. Thanks, Gary! I include licensing with my day rate. So instead of charging $1000 for a half day, I charge $1500. Then I don't get questions from clients.

Years later after being made, just like any holy book, its current relevance is timeless. Great stuff!!!

Jan/2025... still enjoyable to watch because the video doesn't look dated and the content is still relevant for portrait, boudoir and wedding photographers.

In my opinion, this is the best headshot class offered on this site.

There is good content here, but Roberto's explanations of how lighting works is really, really poor. It is difficult to watch, it is so bad.

I like Julia‘s way of presenting. Lots of information. Great course

Lots of common sense approach to composition, especially given some of the constraints of locations, subject matter etc. this was an everyday approach to creating better photos whether using your phone or the camera of your choice and as the title of the course suggests, this is a great "introduction" to composition without getting too heavy. For me personally... not the best course; too basic, so didn't sit through it all. I would however recommend this to someone just getting started without getting too bogged down in theory that may turn them off photography.

This is very valuable class for the people taking photographs of people. The class is shorter than other classes but full of information that need to know for portrait photography.

This was a great class! Khara explained things that were easy to understand which helped me to connect the dots. I feel much more confident in my abilities after taking this course.

Very interesting look at natural and strobe/constant light photography. I found it interesting that Felix was able to replicate, using lights, the natural lighting Sue Bryce used. Lessons kept moving, with very few lulls in the lesson plan.

Peter Hurley kept the class moving, describing his style of headshots. I did find it to be a bit repetitive in the material, however he was building on his style, explaining and expanding. Not always the way I would set-up and go with every headshot gig, but a good starting place, especially if shooting multiple headshots, and the customer(s) want a uniform look.

I do like the class, but sometimes is sounds like she is talking to a dog when she is giving direction - can imagine her saying sit, roll over, good girl :)

Another brilliant course from Lindsay. Great photographer and born to teach too :)
