Shoot: 5 Month Old

And now we have another whole baby we think most indoor herbal head of here come on over and he's happy hey you are divine now name lillian liliana little girl or she's precious and is she how old is she? Almost almost five months and is she sitting up night so she's not sitting up so if I did want to put her into a prop I would have to have her completely supported by the mom and but she's probably laying on her back is she holding onto toes things like that so she's not crawling not sitting up we might be out to get out to shop um but let's take her nappy off and if they weren't sitting up you can put them into a prop that has sides for them to hold on to does she have like something that she sits in it home like a toy that she moves around in or anything like that she does and how is she in those so she can hold onto something she's pretty good so say for example I had her sitting in something like this and we're going to put some fabric in it she could hold on to the sides mum is g...

oing to be right there and the minute she steady mom can lift her hand I could take the shot the hand can come back down and support her so she's nice and supported the whole time to come on over here actually, I'm going to use my dock dock for this one and put a light colored blanket in it so you can leave her nappy on because she's going to be sitting inside that we're not going to see it, but just two seconds while I get something to put in there, sir, I'm going to use one of these blankets, which is really soft and just sort of drape it in here so she's nice and protected and I'm gonna make it sort of thicker around the back and the sides to support her and that white mum can sit here as close as she can to liliana and support her the entire time. So come on over selim paa perrin and what we're gonna do is make sure when she's in there now are you comfortable so if you get nice and comfortable, actually I've got hold of her, so if you put your back to the wall and you she's trying to bite my arm, it has come forward towards may like maybe a bottom forward towards may yeah, and with your back to the war, bring your bottom towards me, that's it and just move that way just a little bit see they don't know pick clients and parents don't know what to do unless you guide them and tell them, are you a clever u s a clever so we need thio oh she's kicking around in here so she has to be supported okay said mom's gonna hold under here they're teo years it's so funny yes, it is all right I'm just gonna use a couple of these cloth nappies to put him behind her in that blanket to create some more support so we were talking before there was a question about, like, when babies aren't sitting up how to get them to sit on so this is a great way to get that shot because if they can't come back, you know, in a month's time when they are sitting out high he's trying to hold on to everything thank you want to eat everything? Yes you do. So what I've done just inside there is crossed her feet over says she's actually sitting like that because if she's sitting like that she's gonna push her feet out and move her body back but if a feta crossed, she can still push out, but she won't have that strength of pushing them together. Okay, so mom is gonna be nice and close for this one, and what I'm going to do is because she's quite focused on what's in here I'm going to distract her and when I distract her she should sits quite still, so if you can get her to hold on to the sides and you know you can even clone parents arms out and things like that in shots but walsh mom's holding her I'm going to get an exposure shot lilliana with my rental car boot leave your back hand in there and just bring your front hand out that's it hey, he likes the sound of it fingernails on the middle perfect grab hold of her and that is it, sir. One very quick second of a shot perfect, but I would use the one before in the back one background of this one so that term you could put those together and I don't have to climb out any arms or or fingers but that first one a little face when she looked up with so cute so now what I'm gonna do is get a couple of shots of her on her back playing with her feet because she's not gonna crawl away way should be able to get them and then that's the nice safe option of getting a beautiful shot. So if you could just lift her up for me go get this out of the way and let's take her nappy off but turn her around this way let's take a look at those thighs oh, you're pretty okay, so now I might get you to go that way just a look a drink sit ups thiss um strong stomach muscles she's like help me up help me up high beautiful gil you can relax now you can relax now let's turn you around there I'm just going to bring her head this way just for the light I am you say m and I'm gonna shoot above her from over here for these air headshots in tow shots yes they are you want a toe doing photos you know hold on you're not gonna hold on it's a game no huh hi oh you're trying to set up again look into your clever your clever oh, that was a silly one camera strap filled what are you doing hi how caught up in here I know it's exciting it's exciting hello her huh oh I so lots of expressions lots of expressions lots of expressions I'm gonna turn her around how you're funny yes l funny and safe she'll turn her head this way towards me and bring the legs uh wait what do you got oh you're clever you're clever lilliana well check again you are very very cute could you please pick her up and put her onto her tummy with their head down here and her feet up towards you ee aah you're clever is you uh oh just bring her elbows out this way that's it on just bring your knees she's all right she's just eating it oh really you call her lili no what are you doing that doesn't taste very good pass me that bottle of water actually oh yeah that's fine hi. You ate it he was gonna spring you're in this way so I'm gradually just bringing her around to the front she's strong came in here hey, you know she doesn't want to be on a tummy I think she might have fluff in him out yeah, she did brilliantly. Thank you so much. Oh, thank you. Oh, isn't she gorgeous? Hey, I'll pass you this back. Would you want to take that? Yes. Great. Thank you. Kelly it's so cool to see how you just respond to how the baby is responding when clearly you were able to spend so much more time with liliana because she was so responsive smiles and everything so yeah, definitely and and that's just it like when you want to photograph them of those different stages they're gonna be doing different things. So obviously the older they are, the more they could do um when they can sit and not crawl is you know you can get a lot from them, but when they're crawling they're gone when they're walking that it wanted power of you but yeah, when they like three months of age there's not much you can do so with variety other than really styling a session and using different sort of things to add cem cem differences

I love kelly, LOVE LOVE LOVE her. She is a wonderful photographer, so calm and patient. That is the style that I have when photographing. I liked Sue's portion, however, I did skip over most of it, because I found that she kept talking about the same things. Sue has a great personality bubbly and funny, she just over talked the some topics.
