my last mentor is tatyana what I love about tatyana is teddy anna's entire brand has gone sort of past glamour to some degree and into more creative at work and create a finance so she's very much held to her truth in what she wants which is one of the hardest things today um based in philadelphia er she shoots grammar find out portraiture end conceptual photography so out of the mental she's karen tammy do the conceptual work and the final portraiture work uh more than I do what I my fine at work really is always for myself not for my client my client's really just want beautiful glamour portrait and to feel really good about themselves so I find the finite aspect is not something I've ever sold and I don't know that I want teo definitely separate the two is being my love and passion this is my work so I keep them apart for a reason I'm tatiana creative illustrative portrait finding refining unique photographic style service and empowering self acceptance where have you found your big...

gest hurdle in building your business and where have you found your greatest joy who the joy definitely photography itself connecting with women seeing transformation and I'm noticing that acceptance off beauty on outside transferring to video inside kind of nice eyes it's amazing it's amazing it's amazing to me that you can that I spent the first twelve years of my career putting makeup on people and taking photographs you know back when people would just associate with the eighties grammar or they'd be like that's what you do for a living and I'm like yes and I thought what I did was very shallow and I thought when I see that what I did was really pointless and shallow and I didn't understand the power of it I don't know why when we look good on the outside we feel good on the inside and then we feel good on the inside but we look good on the outside and when we feel good on the outside we're looking on the inside it seems to me to be so cy click that it's not it's another cycle it's actually connected um what's your little bane well initially it was a studio I couldn't wrap my head around having studio in my house it's just I wanted to separate my personal life and business life but you know finally I said well I have to do it and have studio in my home is in the basement it's very dark space so had to build something unique to mimic natural light so I'm shouldn't using mixed light you will see pictures my studies the unorthodox and second one was um price and product for first two shoots my press were ridiculously low I was doing only allah card fifty per print so I did it and I sat down and look okay he doesn't make sense I felt bad because you know well it's not spring but it's not framed and you know I don't know I wanted to provide better product I love congress is so and definitely they need to cost more and you know I put my heart amazing girls I hate canvases like I purposely took place there no campus if somebody even sees the week canvas and my studio that do you do that on campus I'm just like can I do you know what I don't even know what to say to that and say you hey you are going I love campus I want to sell campus I love in my packages promises in my packages because I want people to have canvas on the world and that's what the price this is not that the reason because see now I sped love time with supported you know really I value them that much you know what we do is incredible and I want people to know that as well and pricing is a filter I want people in my studio who value for this photography as much as I do so that tells me that when you decide what your product is then you decide what your prices your product has to reflect your price in the sense that it has to be with the prize but it also has to be a cost of doing business you have to be able to afford the product and make a profit on the cost of it because it product on pricing so that's why I put product in pricing together on the next segment because I feel like once we lock that down or we have to do then is lin how to get out of there in way selling it uh this is teddy on the studio it doesn't know e those around mentors these air the photographers that were tired tirelessly and in bed with sue they worked tirelessly and surprise dot com they worked tirelessly on their own business uh I am proud of every one of the's photography is and what they're building uh I watched each of you I'm gonna watch each of you fly over the next couple of years and I'm so excited to watch that um I have struggled when teaching watching people come into their own and let go of the idea that I don't have any control over where they're going that that is decided by you I am going to show you how to price yourself I'm going to show you the evolution of pricing so you can kind of gauge where you are I'm going tio ask the mentors their advice and how they feel about what I'm saying I'm going to talk to you about what products in pricing and then tomorrow we're going to talk about selling it so I honestly am standing here today because I told a workshop three years ago and you guys build a business out of it and the pride that I feel right now is extraordinary and you need to really give yourself some props because uh they're people struggling in the whole of the different ways that you can now help empower and what an incredible gift to the world you all are and what an extraordinary amount of courage you have to move forward in your own cells I feel like that is the greatest gift I could have given anybody and the fact that you've done it just makes overwhelms me
