Types of Content
The three types of content on Instagram are stories which are Grittier, more um risky types of content that companies are using to tell behind the scenes type of stories where they are allowing users to get a sneak peek into their process where well known restaurants and well known chefs are bringing consumers and instagram followers into the kitchen to actually see how a croissant is being made or to see the process behind the delicious dishes that they serve. The second type of content is an instagram feed, which are all of the posts that are coming through the one single line of content that users are scrolling through as they're going through the app. What's interesting here is that companies and brands are fighting with other relevant content that the user, him or herself has determined to be important to them. So, a brand or company is also fighting against a really cute baby that maybe their their brother or sister just had, or perhaps it's a puppy that they love, you know, a do...
g account that they love following. And so now you as a brand and company have to somehow fight against all of those other things that this user has determined to be top of their mind, there is a way to do that. And that's by buying instagram ads, which we'll get into in a second. The third type of content is what I'd like to call the grid or the gallery and that's the content that lives on your own instagram profile as a business or a company. This is content that you've curated, its content that you've thought out. Its content that tells a very consistent visual story about the product or the services that you offer. Brands are now realizing that users are more than ever, sometimes looking at their instagram accounts before they're even visiting their websites. And so this is a great way for you to showcase and tell folks a little bit about yourself, based on the types of content that you've been posting in recent weeks.
