Action - Create a Coupon For Your Product

in this video, I'm gonna show you how to create a simple percentage off coupon. So this is pretty awesome because you can use this coupon code and be like, hey, here's a coupon code percentage off. Here's another 1% of you can give it a facebook groups, you can give it in review groups, you can give it to random people on the streets, some homeless person down that way, whatever you want. Or you can even use it in these discount sites percentage off and different types of promotion coupons are so useful and you're gonna want to know how to do it. And it's a kind of complicated process. And let me tell you the first time I made one, I made a huge mistake and almost lost all my inventory. The first step you want to do is go to amazon seller central. Then you're gonna want to hover above the advertising tab And scroll down 1, 2, 3, 4 and click promotions. So once you can only find promotions, it will take you to this whole thing where you can create promotion. I just want to let you know ...

the promotions tab might not show up and that's because you need an amazon seller pro account. You have to make sure it's a professional selling plan. Otherwise the promotions option will not be available to you. So from here, you have a wide variety of creating different promotions. You can do free shipping percentage off, buy one, get one a giveaway and there's also this external benefits, but this has actually been deprecate id. So don't even worry about that. So let's go about the percentage off. So there's a lot of different things you can do with this. You can read all these things where it says we're just gonna go ahead and create a percentage off coupon code create. So here you have a couple of different things. You have three steps simple. So buyer purchases at least this quantity of items or for every quantity of items purchased or at least this mountain dollars just give you be applied to all these different things. But what I usually like usually like to do is buyer purchases at least one item quantity. Then you say purchase items. You can either do entire catalog which I would not recommend. I would just select one and create a new product selection and find the product you want to have a percentage off promo for. You can select all your products or just a couple. But I would just select one and create percentage off coupon code for each product and make it separate. Then you can go to percentage off and then select what percentage of you want to do. Let's say I want to give a pretty steep discount and around 75% just put in 75% there and applies to purchase items or qualifying items. So in this case you'll just want to do purchased items. There are also advanced options where you can say buyer purchases this, coin the items and bar gets this percentage off. You can add different tiers and choose what you want. But in this case we're just gonna cover advanced tears and be done with step one. I'm gonna close step one right here and go to step two. So step two is all about scheduling. So in the last one we just went through conditions these are just the conditions that apply and number two is scheduling. How long do you want to run this promo? So just remember it takes four hours to set this promotion live. So let's say it's midnight it's not going to be set up till four AM PST over here in san Francisco. So it takes four hours to create promotion and then end it. Um let's say you only want to run it for one week. Perfect. Just set one week. Or you can just pretty much set in definitely just keep going over and you can have an infinite amount for your end date. So internal description is just for you this is providing information for your own reference to help you track the promotion. Let's just say you want Mother's Day. Free shipping boom done. Or you just want let's say um facebook review group uh free promo let's say you offer 99% off and they get a huge discount. Boom. Internal description next you have the tracking I. D. And you can say percentage job blah blah boom boom boom. This just tracking so you can have that I. D. Track this code that's scheduling, it's mostly about date and time to go ahead and close that scheduling done. Boom. So claim code you're probably like okay what does this mean group? So here's one thing no group claim codes have no quantity limits. You cannot control how many customers can be redeemed before your promotion ends. This is really scary and I would never use a group Code because there are no quantity limits unless you made your whole conditioning like 1% off. That would be a time where group makes sense. But let's say we're throwing 70% 5% off. You don't want to make sure you single use, make sure you take one redemption per customer. So they can only have one redemption. This means that they can't redeem so many different types of promo codes in this case, if you select a group just to show you it's one redemption per customer as well. But you have claim codes with a single use, you don't have claim code but you have one redemption per customer and you're gonna want to make sure claim code. Common malady is exclusive. Open up customized messaging and you're gonna want to look at pro motion apply. You can change the display text if you want, make sure this button's text ticked off. It can't be ticked on in the single use case. But in the group it can sometimes I do groups here and there and that's really how I script. The first time I used a group claimed gave to everybody and be like hey here's a quantity discount boom. And I had that page display text on this basically means that this display text is showing under your product listing and it's like oh here are all my promo codes. I use groups whenever I want to do a small discount and show it. So if they buy one item they get one item 10% off and they can use this code. That's usually what I use groups for scroll down. Once you make sure that's ticked off scroll and then you can go ahead and review. In this case I didn't actually select an item but you can go ahead and review and go through that selected and it should be done after that. You can go to manage my promotions once you have a promotion running which will take four hours after you activate it, go to manage my promotions and then click your promotion and in the corner you'll be able to manage your claim codes with these claim codes. Take that claim code and then give it to whoever is using that claim code. For example, let's say you're running a um facebook group Review and you want to give this one person a claim could get 75% off, take one claim clear there and give it to them. I usually take all these claim codes and throw in an Excel spreadsheet and then mark down exactly who does it. They're young. That's easy, simple way to create a promo code.
