Bonus Video With Purchase: How to Search

in this video, you're going to learn how to search on Pinterest. And before we get started, I just want to put it out there that the search feature is a little tricky on Pinterest, meaning that you can't go unnecessarily and search for one of your pins and be able to find it. Pinterest is constantly refreshing and rolling results so that you might not always be able to see content you've pinned also the same that it is important to understand that you should always be able to find your account. You shouldn't have a hard time finding your particular account. The only thing you might not be able to find is a specific pin that you've pinned. But the search feature is in the top left of the Pinterest home page, and at any point you could go in here and search for brands. You can search for actual images. You could search by concepts, say, like wedding. So if I type in wedding up here, you'll notice a couple of cool things. First of all, you'll notice this show pins from, and this is where ...

I can actually choose if I want to search for wedding from all pins on Pinterest or for just my pin. So right now it's just showing different content on Pinterest that either has the term wedding in the board title or actually, in the caption of the pin. Now I could select just my pins, and I don't have any wedding pins. But if I did, that's what would show here. So you can go back toe all pins and you'll notice that the second feature is up here pins, boards or Penner's. So this air, all of the wedding pins. These are all of the boards that air titled Wedding and these air all of the Pinter's that have the word wedding in them. So if you're looking for accounts to follow that, maybe have the term wedding, you would want to search for Penner's. But if you were just looking for search results, you just wanted to see different types of pins about weddings. You would stick to this main pin area, so that's how you use Pinterest search again. It is not, you know, foolproof. You're not going to be able to find your wedding pin necessarily in here, but as a general rule of thumb, this is how you find content around a category and specifically how you locate accounts say I wanted to search for a particular brand like Nordstrom. This is the best way to locate them. On Pinterest is to look directly for their pinning account, which would be right here. So there you haven't easy step by step tutorial of how to search on Pinterest.

So glad I saw this and got it to keep. With just a few tweaks, I turned my non-active boards into active boards and quadrupled my followers in just a few days. This spilled over into site traffic AND major lead generation for my mailing list. Thanks for the inspiration, Melanie.
